Gettin trough it.

Someone once told me music is 350mg of painkiller, and it’s true. The music takes your mind off the achy legs, the tightening of your chest, the anxiety you feel for the pills. Look, you want the withdrawal symptoms to go away faster? Well it isn’t going to happen, unless you get out of the bed, off the chat rooms and sweat it out. Go to the gym, park, anywhere you can get a good workout and sweat. These toxins we have all put into our bodies need to come out. So grab your iPod and workout’ not only will that help your body get clean, but will help with the depression that will soon follow. Eat leafy greens, fruit (like bananas) and skip the anti-diarrhea for your first day. It needs to come out, so get Pedi alight and let it happen. Day two take Imodium AD, get some detoxing tea, and SAM-E or Saint Johns Wart (SAM-E help with our serotonin levels and Saint Johns Wart help with anxiety) and again, hit the gym. In a few days you physically won’t crave the drugs and be able to start getting your life back. YOU WILL BE FRAGILE, so get working out, join a support group (outside the internet) and fake it til you make it. I know it *****, but, we all put ourselves into this mess, you have to be strong, suck it up and go through it. I don’t mean to sound like a *****, I am going through my 7th withdrawal to get clean for good, and every time I ignored the advice of working out and other remedies. This time I WILL STAY CLEAN, I am on day 4 and I am starting to see clearly. This is the fastest I have ever felt like I really can do this. So can everyone else, and hey if working out and sweating it out works a least you’ll have a better body. I wish you all the best of luck.

Awesome.  I agree with you wholeheartedly.  Music and exercise and treating myself with lots of love got me through detox and has kept me going strong for the past 800 + days.  Wishing you the best and congrats on your clean time (:
