Careful with the excedrin migraine as it too contains Tylenol which was in the percocets, so you may extend the rebound headaches using too much. Some alleve liquid gels, ice pack peppermint oil and hang tough :-)

Thank you, you have been such a great inspiration to me whether you realize it or not :) I have some peppermint oils as well as lavender oils, I am an aromatherapy buff! I will have to try a few of those!

Hi NowOrNever, I got the headaches too. Excedrine Migraine does help. As others have said, it is a part of the withdrawal, your body is trying to get what it wants. I still get headaches sometimes, so will definitely try the peppermint oil suggestion. I am thinking of you today and hoping you feel better.

Hugs,

Minn

Thanks for the advice, I was takin perc 30mg as well as 10mg if I couldn't get my hands on any 30s. I was up to about 120- 150 mg at my worst I would take up to 180mg( but not all the time). My head feels better today so I am hoping it will stay that way. Thanks again :)

I don't know what ur DOC was or how long u have been clean but until this past week ( my DOC way hydro & i'am 28 days clean ) i've had a major headache almost everyday! So bad i even filled my migraine meds Friday night, & for me to pay $50 for 9 pills it had to be bad! But a small price to pay over my sobriety. Hope u feel better, excedrine seems to help the best though i will say. Love & prayers. Stacy

One thing that also helped around my temples and sinus area (above eyebrows) was rubbing a little bit of peppermint oil, it works, I bought it at whole foods, it's strong, so be careful not to get it in your eyes, the headaches are rough and you just have to get thru it best you can.

Elmijack is spot on. Headache's were my worst symptom. It was sure enough rebound pain, but felt as it I had a sinus problem or severe migraine. I found advil helped, ice towels wrapped around my neck, massage and putting moist hot washcloths over my face. These will go away in a week or less. Drink lots of water ok? It does suck, but ya gotta get thru it to get passed it. Good luk xo

Yes and it really depends on what you're withdrawing from, If it's narcotics, you're probably having rebound headaches and very little help for those but an ice pack, Benadryl worked for me sometimes, stay away from Tylenol though or they will continue. I know your pain all too well.
