After Quitting Adderall.

I have been taking adderall off and on for 6 years. I recently lost my job and thought that I would be a great time to stop taking the drug. I knew I did not want to be on it. And I know that it is harmful to my body.

I stopped cold turkey and it was hell. I have gotten over most of the symptoms but there is a part of my that misses it. I feel that whit out taking the drug in the first place I would most certainly not be where I am today. It helped empower me and help me get of my *** and get going. Throughout the duration of the drug I was heavily smoking weed and drinking on the weekends. I know this is also bad. But it felt great. (smoking with it)

After doing research I see people saying that adderall lead them down the wrong path and ruined their life etc.
But I believe that It truly helped me and helped me become the person that I am today.

Can anyone relate to this?
I guess I don't really have a solid question more so looking to hear from people in the same situations and hear how long they have been off it and when the side affects stopped.

Well, the person you are today is someone who just lost a job and was taking so much adderall that his withdrawls were hell. Not to mention smoking and drinking. We all thought our using was great for a long time: socially, financially whatever. Until it wasn't. Don't know how long side affects of adderall last but I hope you get into aftercare for your addiction. We still have the addict brain, which doesn't heal itself. Good luck to you and keep posting.
