60 hours and counting

It has been 60 hours since my last vicodin, make that 61.  I feel like ****!  I am so exhausted and yet so shaky.  I have a responsibility though to my 8 month old son, he needs me and depends on me.  He got up at 6.  I spent the night at my parents so I would stay away from my unsupportive husband and get help with the baby but it is too early for them to get up and help me.  I know I can manage to pull myself together for a few hours until someone gets up to help me.  My husband want to go visit his grandparents and his father today but I don't know if I am up to it.  I guess I will have to pull myself together and fake that everything is ok.  What do you guys think I should do?
P.S. I have decided that once I make it 72 hours then I am counting days, that already feels like a huge accomplishment to make it this far.  I honestly don't want a pill but if I accidently found one I don't know if I could resist taking it.  Any advice on will power?

firefaery. i agree with flmagi, dont put unneeded pressure on yourself by going out today.  stay close to home...maybe take walk for a lil exercise but other than that leave the visitin to your hubby.  61 hours is awesome.  another few days and you will turn the corner to freedom.  i am so proud of you.  you can do this, you are doing this...keep going and dont look back (and dont look for pills lol).

WOW that is so funny you should mention your feet freezing because that is the problem I am having its like I can't get them warm no matter what I do, wish I had heating pad that sounds like the thing I need. The rest of my seems ok as far as temp its just my feet and they are so cold they hurt, wew glad to hear I'm not just weird.

I'm off Vicodin 5/325x8/day for 2yrs...up to about the same as you in hours.  Here's how I have felt and am feeling...first, cold, chills, low body temp, body aches.  Then diarrhea.  Then absolutely no appetite and have lost 7 lbs - the only good thing so far!  Now I just feel so fatigued and muscle aches.  I'm taking my vitamins, drinking lots of tea, and have some soma to keep from getting all tense.  I don't have any idea if those are a good thing to take but they can't be any worse than valium, and I have them.

I have fibromyalgia and some other nerve pain issues, which is how I wound up on long term narcotic treatment.  My doc. just started tapering me off but I took them all too fast and ran out, so now it's the c/t method!  Oh well...that's my own fault and probably the only way I can do it.

I hope the aches and fatigue go away soon...I have a lot to do!

Yes it is absolutely normal to feel like your freezing.  May I ask which drug you are suffering withdrawls from? How long have you been taking it?

Thanks for the advice.  I told everyone I know that I was stopping and not to offer me any.  I knew I would be too tempted.  The last time, I only made it 72 hours before I took a pill, I know that this is the worst day.  I know that if I find one that I will just have to flush it immediately and not put any thought into it past that.
Is it normal for me to feel like I am freezing?

Today is day 3 for you and day 3 is notorious for being the worst day. I would stick close to home. I really don't think you're gonna be up to any socializing.
If you should find a pill, before you even give it any thought, run and flush it. This is where having a plan is important. Know ahead of time how you will deal with situations. It's makes it much easier to act quickly than sit there and ponder over a pill. Plan ahead, know what you will do and how you will react. What will you do if a friend comes over and offers you some pills? Or your cleaning and find one?
Good luck and congrats on day 3.
