Update/Question (please help)

Hi everyone,
Maybe some of you remember commenting on my other question a few weeks ago. Anyway I made it 9 or 10 days of bad withdrawal before I couldn't stand it anymore, I felt bad from the withdrawal but the pain in my spine and hips is what made me start back on meds again.
Here's where I really need help figuring this out, I was seriously abusing my meds before but the last week ive been on them I have taken them as prescribed and im having alot of problems which seem to hit the hardest at night.
I feel like I have a fever, body feels like its cold but I feel hot to the touch, I'm really weak and feel like electricity is surging thru my muscles. I havent gotten more than two hours of sleep a night since starting back up. I'm having urination problems, feels like I have a gusher but its start stop start stop and I get up to pee at least 6 or more times a night with that bad urge feeling.I have what seems like a constant headache.
Meds I take is one 15mg oxy 2very 6 hours no more than 4 per day.And 2 20mg extended release morphine ob3 in morning one at night.
If anyone has any ideas please let me know what this could possibly b3.
Thanks
Donnie

You are having some serious side effects there and who knows what it is. this is not something you should try to self-diagnose on the internet. Get to a doctor or the ER.

It is very possible that you are still having some withdrawal symptoms since you've dropped the amount you were taking quite a bit.  However, I agree with the posters above...you should see a doctor....just to be on the safe side.

Just after I detoxed I started having horrid pains in the same areas.  Found out it was NOT from the detox...I had a UTI infection and had also developed a disease called diverticulitis.  I'm so glad I took the advice and went to the doctor...had I ignored it I could have ended up in the hospital.

Please take care of yourself okay?

you really should see a doctor to check your kidneys and check for a urinary tract infection.  all these symptoms are the symptoms you get with these infections.

sometimes we automatically think they have to do with withdrawal when in fact we are really ill.

Thanks everyone for the input, I have a tens unit that I use everyday, also a back brace and a prescription medication cream that I use a few times a day.
All this helps but not alot.
I go back to my surgeon for a follow up on the 10th so we can try to figure out whats going on. I am 7 months out from my 4th back surgery. I am fused from L3 to S1
Anyway, I was doing some research online trying to figure out what these new symptoms could be and think I may have found something.
I have been on soma 350mg 4x a day for almost 10 years and quit that cold turkey along with the opiates, the symptoms I have seem to be what people are describing when thry withdrawal from soma....
I'm kinda worried because they say seizures can happen with this
Thanks
Donnie

I have bad spine problems, chronic pain, and am 14 months free of oxycodone prescribed at twice you dose. I am also an out of control addict when I get pills in my hands, so I had to get off of them.
I agree with glassguy above, have a doctor check you out.
But beyond that, if you really want off pain pills you will have to develop alternative strategies. Advil, tens, jacuzzi, hydro therapy, DLPA, heating pads all are really effective.
While your pain receptors in the brain are settling down with no narcotics, you will have to put up with amplified pain for a few weeks. But then most people's pain level is far far less after some time. Opiates increase the brain's pain receptor's sensitivity dramatically, causing more pain than is really there (not to be confused with tolerance, which is also a factor)
For me it has been a spiritual journey. I am not afraid of pain anymore, although I do not want the 7-hour surgery,  3- level fusion they want to do. I have some numbness in my legs, my urination is awkward at times, and my back has a steady "warm glow" from the severe stenosis (and a lot of other back issues) And my days are sooo good being clean and sober!!
I apologize for getting into my boring personal details, but I wanted you to know that it is possible to "win" this battle and stay clean from pain pills.
Best to you!

you reduced your dosage  by half so you are still  detoxing and withdrawing.
Pain increases during withdrawal. It will take a few months of bing clean to re-evaluate your true pain levels. After taking opiates for some time your brain chemistry change, opiates actually will cause more pain receptors. It is called hyperalgesia- opiate induced pain.
D you have someone who can hold your meds to help you finish a taper?
There are alternate methods of pain management besides opiates.
You can live a life free from the chains & bondage of addiction.
There is always hope. Keep the faith.

Dont mean to scare you but you should get to a doc and have him check your kidneys.I dont know how long you abused your meds but the fever and the urination problems is why I would go get checked out.
