You mean it will help even when withdrawing from antidepressants like cymbalta which according to opinions on the web is very hard to get off .
Clonidine is VERY helpful during wd's. It also can be very dangerous. You should talk to your Dr. before taking it to find out the safe dosage for your body weight, age and health conditions.
Beachwalker, I have some very good news for you. I know of drug that is non-addictive and most drugs don't work on me at all and this one not only worked but it blew me away at how effective it was! The name of the drug is called Clonidine and not Kolonopin. It was originally made for high blood pressure, but don't worry, even you don't have high blood pressure, it won't hurt you. If you're already taking high blood pressure meds, you need to ask him about that and perhaps you can switch to Clonidine to get the benefit from the high blood pressure meds and help with the w/d's.
I would say that the Clonidine cut at least 50% of my w/d's if not more. It will almost completely get rid of sweats, chills, even bone and joint pain that you feel with opiates. The only side effect that I've found from it personally and this might not happen to you at all and that's blurred vision. But let me tell you....even with the blurred vision, it's much much better than dealing with the full brunt of withdrawals.
I'm not sure if it will help with Xanax.....it might, but it definitely helps with opiate withdrawal. I've heard Wellbutrin has helped people too...it's anti-depressant. I didn't start taking my Wellbutrin until a few days ago and I'm on my 15 day of sobriety and honestly....I feel pretty good right now....little manic even. Anyway, see if you can get the Clonidine for sure, and if you like the Wellbutrin, is sounds like it might help too. Good Luck!
