slippin

Hi in October 2013 I decided I would get off of my tramadol and Norcos after being on them for a few years.

Initial W/Ds were pretty tough, but what happens is I'll get a few weeks then go back.  I originally cut my sources including my doctor and told him what I was doing, but asked my doc to re-prescribe and he did. so stupid for me to do that.

Anyway, I haven't had any Norco since October and need to be proud of that.  I just finished 60 pills of trams in 7 days which I find humiliating.  I really feel like I am done, well at least at this moment.
I dont like the way I feel off them and dont like the way I feel on them.... BUT I don't think I have given it enough time to heal.  2-4 weeks off is just a start.  Going to an AA meeting tonight.

what got me to throw out my pills for good was tough love. nobody can do this for you, you have to do it for yourself. it sounds like you're on the right track -- but hopefully this time around you'll be able to find what it was that set you back the first couple of times you tried to get sober. i haven't touched a pill since i got sober. not even a tylenol or OTC medication. and i have....four years sober now. life is great without something being held over your head like a nasty little pill. keep up the good fight; and post as much as you need to.
