Day 7.....COMPROMISE IS A BATTLEFIELD !!!

Hello to all my beloved friends!

This is funny..Day 6 at work, thought I was going to die...but made it. Now Day 7, only a easy very short day...but now comes the battle of the mind..in which is harder!

One thing that is bothering me is that, in the near future I HAVE to have my dental work finished...and it involves surgery...that's exactly how I started with the hydro's last year.

I sit here thinking, how good I feel (so to speak being Day 7), but also am trying to figure out what I will do in the future with dental work that needs to be finished....

I am at WAR with myself right now. I DO NOT crave the hydros, but I keep thinking 30 + days of being clean...and what if there is no alternative for pain meds after dental work....I almost feel like I will be doing this all over again...then the other part of me is saying:

Do NOT Compromise or Justify... regardless of what is to come, and keep fighting the good fight, because I dont know what tomorrow forholds!!!

The BATTLE is definelty in my mind, and I all I know....is compromise is a war, and if I don't LET GO, and Put It Behind Me..then my mind will be at it all day!

The MIND is a very powerful thing....I also know that if I put my Mind together with The Spirit...I WIN.!!! - I can not let my mind and flesh compromise!!! - The only thing I know right now, is to FIGHT with the fullness of Spirit in my Heart..and this day shall have Victory!

Absolutly amazing! - I am persuaded 100% that there is NOTHING more Powerful than Drugs...EXCEPT...The Holy Spirit of God Almighty!

I haven't personally taken it...but many on here have ...and say NO!!!!!

Todd, my prayers are with you.  Have you considered asking your dentist to prescribe ultram or tordal for your post-op pain?  I know they can be effective and maybe they won't trigger your desire to use.

all will be fine your faith is so avadent dont worry about later Jesus talks about this in matthew6:25-34 have Faith that he will take care of everything and all will be well. hey you have gone through w/d everything is a piece of cake after this!!! LOL much love and prayers.

What does one do, when their "willpower" runs out....as it has to so many of us so many times.

It was always said before engaging in a battle, you have to "know your enemy"....sometimes we can come to find out, our enemy knows us better than we knew it.

Point: Would one ever know if they will conquer their enemy before and during the battle,....or can we find ourselves to be conquered by the enemy, because we under-estimated the enemy,...... and over-estimated our willpower

let us know when you have the dental work, Todd, my friend, and i will be praying for a miracle. the miracle of NO PAIN!  it can happen.  Our God is powerful and loving.  He doesn't want you to slip up, and He doesn't want you to suffer.  I will also be praying about the knee and back pain.

Lord, i pray for my frien Todd, right now.  I pray that You touch his knee and back and remove the very source of all pain.  You are powerful; You are loving and your Word says that You are our Healer.  Set him free from the pain, for Your Glory and for his better health and testimony.  In Jesus wonderful name, amen

I do not miss it - I hate hydros and always will

I hate the fact that hydros releive physical pain, and just happen to be such an hell bound addictive drug!

Hydro's are BY FAR my friend!

hi todd:  good post.  dont sweat the dental stuff.  3 weeks i had a disk replaced in my jaw and all  the lower teeth removed the infection scrapped from the done and dentires put in.  it hurt...i had to use pain pills (the day before marked my 90 days clean).  i used the pain pills for 5 days at 1 less than prescribed my hubby doled them out before he left for work,  i knew if took all three i was in trouble that nite...he wouldnt give me more.  on day 5 i flushed the remainder and have been taking 800ml ibrophen.  they work as good as the pain pills.  so just dont seat it.  if you have to take them let your goal be to take as few as possible.  pain is good!!!it makes you stronger.
