How long does it take to detox?

I plan to stop taking pain pills tomorrow by going to an in patient detox and wondered how long it will take for me to feel 100%?  I know everyone's different but I have 5 days until I have to go back to work.  I've been taking pain pills, most recently oxycodone for five yrs. on and off.... Last night my husband asked me if I wanted to turn into a mush head like my dad.  That hit me where it hurt- my dad has an intense pain pill, muscle relaxer, alcohol addiction.  I do not want to ruin my life and my marriage over this addiction.  I'm bracing myself for tomorrow, been through this before so many times.  All I know is detoxing at home cold turkey is too painful for me and my husband.  He said he can't see me like that again.

How much were of what were u taking and were u taking them every day? And usually withdrawal last from  anywhere from 7-14 days depending on what you were taking and for how long but like u said everyone is different and some get to feeling better pretty quick and some it takes a good lil while.

Congratulations on deciding to reclaim your life and welcome. How many have you been taking? Did you taper down? What was your last dose? What kind of detox program are you going to? We need more info to help.
