How much Longer

I was on Oxycodene for 21/2 years from my first knee surgery. I appears most of you are doing fine. I am on day 43 since 3 days of Suboxone. Every time I think I am out of the woods I have a relapse. (Not feeling well-Not a drug relapse). Today is one of those bad days. RLS and a headache. Nothing was as bad as the first 5 days but I still have lingering withdrawal. The Restless Leg Syndrome and the headaches are the worst. Feels like my legs are burning and the headaches are debilitating to the point where the only thing I can do is lay down and rest. On a positive note, I have been sleeping 8 and 9 hours. My Primary care physician said the withdrawal would last 2 weeks. Nope-while I have more good days than bad, the 1 or 2 days of the week that I don't feel well really ***** because it's hard to plan stuff as I never know when this sick feeling is going to happen. Well, I will carry on for now and hope this withdrawal goes away completely. I can't imagine this lasting much longer

Sorry correction-I was on Suboxone for 3 months. Prior to that I was on 50 mg Oxy a day for 2 1/2 years. When I do have a relapse, I get the headaches and RLS and loss of energy all at the same time- usually on a Thursday for some reason. I found this article which kinda helped me connect the dots. http://www.kaychristopher.com/articles/brainchemistry/index.html When I first posted this a few hours ago, the symptoms were bad. I went out for a while and feel 80% better. Every time I think it's over, the symptoms come back. I am eating bananas for the RLS with potassium supplements and b6 and b12 for energy. The potassium really helps, but the key is to NOT fall behind. I try to eat 3 bananas to stay ahead of the curve. I guess it will take some more time but I am getting better. Talk to you soon.

Thanks-Will

I had been taking oxycodone 10/325 for about 1 1/2 years, about 15-20 a day, sorting half of them.  Before that I was on hydrocodone.  Total time on opiates was about 5 years.  Interesting that you were on suboxone for only 3 days.  I don't think I have ever heard from anyone about a very short suboxone detox.  I started suboxone 14 days ago and took my final dose of it today at .50 mg.  The past couple days I have slight WD feelings, little sweaty, feet are a little numb/tingling, mood up and down.  I did have some RLS last night and tried some Restful Legs with a couple tylonol PMs.  It all worked very well and I was able to sleep very peacefully and long.  You can pick restful legs up at any drug store and it's actually all natural vitamins.  RLS usually works itself out by now in your case, maybe you have developed an actual case of it, IDK.  You also are probably having some PAWS, maybe that's the problem.  How did you do suboxone for 3 days?  With it's stacking up, that probably did get you through the acute stage, I'm guessing?  Interesting method to say the least, would love to hear more about that.
