How to get off these stupid hydros

Well I have been on vics for about 5years it has ruined my life in every aspect , I get 120 of them a month (10milg) they r gone in 7 days if that. Then for the remainder of the month I get them off the street. I'm still using but as of Monday I will be out of them,I really want to stop taking them I'm just so scared I hate not being able to sleep at nite and being so depressed I went through wds last Friday and made it until Monday whn my script got filled can someone please help me I can't say anythng to anyone cause my family Is very judgemental and my boyfriend would kill me if he knew so can someone please help me :,(

Hey Nick,

It very well may be easier.  I have seen many comments on "re-setting" WD's but they are all over the place in terms of what effect short-term use has.  It's different for everyone.

I took a few ativan on days 4 and 5 for sleep and they worked pretty good.  I didn't get the amnesia though (which would have been nice ha ha).  

Yes, drop the dealer.  Your own Doctor may give you some if you tell him what you're dealing with (if you can).

thank you im hoping i can get through this,last week when i went through wds i was hurting but not bad,do you knw if this time when i go through wds will it be worst than last week the same or maybe (crossing my fingers) a little easier? ive asked around for benzos but havent had any luck my dealer has them i think but im not going to talk to him anymore and he is being a jerk so i think its better for me just not speak to him, do you think i could go to the er and tell them im having a time with anxitey and maybe they could scribe me something or is that not a good idea either

Can u get ir hands on some benzos? When I've withdrawed I've taken them for the few nights that I couldn't sleep. I has 2mg bars that I broke in Half. They give me amnesia of sorts, which is good cus I don't remember how ****** I felt that night. Just make sure you stop taking the bemzos or you'll have another thing to wd from, been there and the benzo wd makes the hydro wd a walk in the park.

It's noon and I haven't taken today, day one. I've found that I don't feel the effects of the hydro on a full stomach... So when I feel the urge, I've been drinkig juice or a protein shake until I'm full, mentally I know taking the hydro is a waste so I haven't taken any... Hehe.

You still have some work to do.  It might not be as bad but depends how many you took over how much time that will determine that.  It's ok.

You obviously can go 3 days.  Gitter' done, you are SO damn close.  When you start to feel the symptoms going in the other direction, you will wish you had done this long ago.

Yea I should have not picked up the script Monday I could have made it probably but instead I went and got my script and messed up my 3days clean.do u think the wds will be worst than last week it wasn't horribly bad I just didn't like that I couldn't sleep that's the worst for me so now come tommorrow I will be wd again I will not get anymore because I have no money so that's a good thing I just don't knw how Ima be able to function :,(

C'mon guys,

Your ONLY mistake was the first one you took and for most of us, it came from a "professional".

Don't be so hard on yourselves.  The scared feeling is because you already know how you're going to feel.  If you've made 3 days, my God, you are SOOOO close to getting over the "hump".

Googzy, your story mimicks 95% of us on here.  It is WAY more common than you think.

This drug makes you believe it is no longer your choice to take.  Don't believe the lie,  it is 100% your choice.  Make a plan (like Googzy), get sick, get through it and get back in control.

It all comes down to how bad you want it.  Do you want to stay on the carousel????

Post back often and everyone here will walk you through this,
It isn't easy, but it's very doable.
