How was your Day 2 off the pain meds?

I'm on day 2 today and wanted to get an idea of where I stand. My biggest worry is the depression yet I don't feel so depressed today....yet.

Hey...anytime! Feel free to send a pm too. Sometimes I get caught up in real life and miss some stuff I could probably help/relate to. I try to share what I have direct experience with and not the stuff I don't. I think all of us have our areas of expertise here. And you know, it won't be long before you have the confidence to share your experience too! I will check out that calculator. Enjoy the movie and popcorn!

Jon!   How did you know I was a celebrity?  Who gave me up?

You sound good!  That makes me happy. Keep working it...you're doing great!
I know Poochie is a great inspiration,as well!

You know its one thing to read other people helping out other people and feeling inspired, but it's even better when someone gives advice directly to you. Thanks taperme.

Here's the link for the duration calculator

BTW, I'm watching Joe vs. the volcano with Tom Hanks. I love this movie and I can so relate to it even more now.

Hey...if you aren't feeling depressed feel lucky! Don't go looking for symptoms that may never happen. Where did you find this calculator online? I'd love to take a look at it and see what my time is. Funny how that makes us feel better isn't it? And thank you...I've never been called a hero before! :) I've had so much help here that it is my pleasure to pay it forward. I find it helps me, probably more than I'm helping anyone else. It keeps me honest and makes me feel good that maybe, just maybe my experience might help someone else. Just think...in a few days you will be over the worst of it and you will start getting your life back. It is a great thing you are doing and you should be very proud of yourself! Hang in there.

Thanks for commenting. I feel sorta priviledged to get responses from you guys, it's like talking with celebrities lol. I've read lots of posts from so many of you like micheletx, taperme, vicki, etc. All you guys are really heros and give me hope.

I'm feeling quite good actually. I went on an online hour duration calculator and it's been  2 days, 12 hours, 17 minutes which is about 60 hours since my last two pills.

I got alot of things done and out of the way such as errands and cleaning so I don't need to deal them during the days to come. I wanna be as worry-free as possible. I feel like I'm going to war but a war I know I will win :)

Hello,
Your on your way, keep chipping at it. I am so glad to hear that your  getting off the Loris. I took them for almost 14 years. Now I am 207 days with out it. I had to take Subutex. I give God all the glory, because I prayed to be free from this nasty pill that control all of my days, hours and minutes, as well as years. I will be praying for you. Being free is the best thing. I know that you are concern about depression, maybe sleep, etc. Try to look at what your  going to gain. Freedom, from this pills and well as so much more. I still dont sleep well, but it's all worth it. I still have moody days, but all worth it. You have wonderful support here and God is by your side too. I am sure someone probably told all ready, drink lots of water, vitamim water, muti vitamins, and good hot showers. This are somethings that help me. If you have a tiny little faith that you can do this, You will. I know you will. God Bless You!

Hi~  Just don't get too hung up on the depression. It may not happen at all. What you're doing is a good thing...concentrate on the positive...and think good thoughts!

Thanks guys and gals. I've been reading posts on this site all day today and yesterday and it seems to be the only thing that keeps me occupied, so thank god for this site.

The reason I ask this question is because I don't feel much depression or anxiety and that scares me lol. I got the sneezing, chills, and diarrhea starting yesterday but its really not bad.

From reading all the good tips on here I'm prepared and bought the grocery list of must-needs for detox. Maybe the vitamins are helping? Who knows, we'll see tomorrow. (Sigh)

yep everybodys' chemistry is different, but I was an emotional wreck on day 2, 3, 4 all the way to at least 7.  Felt like I had lost my best friend.  Which I really did, not the best friend, but a good friend (pills).  But I did bury them finally (haha) and felt better.
You may get emotional, it's part of it.  Just don't get too depressed, cuz it will get better!
Hang in there, be tough, you can do this!  we are behind you 100 percent. :)
Take a hot bath.  I dont care if you are a man, just do it   hehe..keep laughing when you can, it is the best medicine!!

I would have to agree with the both of them everyone is different. I would say don't concentrate on the depression. Why make yourself worry about something that is not there. We have enough to fight why bring in other entities to mind F* ourself. Just chill and enjoy the ride.

Days 2 and 3 were the worst for me. Then a steady rise but not really well for about 8 days. I didnt get depression at all during that time.  I am further along now and struggling with it but not so bad that I cant function. Everyone is different in there journey, so cope as you can!

Day 2 was tough for me. I think it all peaked around day 5. Then was up and down for a few days. Then pretty much better after that. The depression seems to come and go, but hasn't been too terrible for me. More emotional than depressed. Hope that helps.
