Your posts just scream of anxiety, which is VERY common during w/ds.  That can take a little time to improve.  I totally agree that you shouldn't smoke MJ.  Weed definitely increases anxiety and panic bigtime in people...so does alcohol.  Steer clear of both.

I too think the clonidine would help you a lot...BUT, if you think you will freak out worrying about side effects, then that's a problem.  If you can try to not worry about that...I think it would help you a lot.  Most likely, the palpitations would be gone (if not much better anyway), it will make you sleepy, and lessen the anxiety.

I know this is super hard...the best thing you can do is keep yourself busy..both body and mind.  You are sitting around psyching yourself out even more.  You were fine all day when you were busy...see the difference?

Wishing you the best...try to help yourself as much as you can by taking some of the advice that was offered.  You're in my thoughts.

Ya alot of people feel a warm tingly feeling when they have RLS. For me it was moreso just an irresistable urge to move my leg or arm every 5 seconds or so, typically happening when id try to go to sleep. If I didnt move my leg/arm I would get extremely annoyed almost until its impossible to resist, much like having a really bad itch.

I was just on the toilet ad my right leg started tingling like a million needles were poking at my foot and shin. Is this the RLS that's supposed to come with the WD

typo- alteril is a otc sleep aid.
can I ask why you have a script for medical marijuana?
I know that pot can start to cause  anxiety and even paranoia.
my son who has anxiety and panic attacks had smoked pot for almost 10 years it started to cause so much more anxiety, panic attacks and even paranoia. I would suggest not smoking now. then try to take notice if when you do smoke if it increases your anxiety or not.
please find a new hobby, something to keep you busy, re-evaluate your friends. did you all just start to get high within the last 4 months or so?
when you are home at night, listen to music, watch movies. do you live with your parents?

On 48 hours cold turkey and the death feeling has hit me. Using the Thomas recipe and Xanax, I had a clonidine patch on and took it off 5 minutes ago at 48 hours cold turkey. I was to sedated. If moving around helps you ad doing things then clonidine will prevent you from doing anything but sleep. Some want to sleep through this crap others say get physical and allow your brain to produce its endorphins back through being very physical. So it's up to you..sleep it off.. Stay physical and work it off.. If can get clonidine for sleep only that way you can have the best of both worlds.  All  I know is this is horrid. I just want it to be over already. 80 mg Norco down to 50 last month then jumped 48 hours ago... Everyone says it will be over soon so keeping busy instead of being sedated watching the clock makes more sense to me...

Yay day 5. you are getting better. time will be your healer. Heart palpitations are a very common sign of anxiety and panic attacks.  If you don't want to take the clonindine you can try valerian root, melatonin, altering they are all natural over the counter for sleep. Even if they don't put you to sleep they should help relax you.

Well te heart palpitations aren't from th WD I've always had then just whenever I have a lack of sleep etc...that's and I've had an echocardiogram before and they said my heart is healthy. They aren't an everyday thing. Just like if I partied te night before and slept only a couple hours then my heart will start palpitating

I know someone that had mild wd from taking oxy for three weeks post surgery. She had never taken an opiate In her life. She got the heart palpitations, sweats and bathroom issues. Just not horribly.

The Clonidine will help a lot. It usually eases the anxiety, eases the heart palpitations, and possibly help you sleep.

Its the number one off label med prescribed to teens that have trouble sleeping. Looking up side affects are a good thing, but try to remember during trials of the medicine, they have to report as a side affect anything anyone reports. It may not have anything to do with the medicine.

For instance, if I was part of a trial, and got a virus and vomited, it would be reported as a side affect, even though it had nothing to do with the medicine.

I haven't seen your other post, but I see reading this one you went to the ER. I'm sure they put EKG leads on your chest if they did all that other stuff, so you know your hearts ok.

I think the Clonidine can really help you.

Good luck 2 you!

Well today would be my fifth day. I say that even though it's early in the am
I was taking norco 10s for the last week i was using 3-5 a day.
The first two days I felt really bad lower and upper back pain and had that really uneasy weird feeling. Then the third day when I went to the er was when it really hit me bad. I was in the middle of my Super Bowl party I was throwing and had my friend drive me to the er.
Then yesterday (Monday) was when I explained earlier what I did. So now im starting on my fifth day.

I chill with my bestfriend everyday we blaze and hangout. He leaves around 10-11pm we take one last hit edited he leaves then I go to bed usually. But all I do is play video games high so sometimes it feels like they don't help. I actually have to be doing something. Today while my friends played my Xbox and blazed I cleaned my whole bedroom and washed alot of laundry. And before that was when I was working my buddies honda

Your thought process is likely out of whack because of sleep deprivation primarily. Once your aches and pains subside, which should be in like 3 or 4 days, it will get easier to sleep, and you will sleep more than 1 or 2hrs a night. But overall it will take a long time for your sleep patterns to return 100% like they were before. Youlle probably just find yourself staying up a lot later and sleeping a lot more during the day, for awhile.

The worst thing you can do when withdrawing is sit around and do nothing. Ive found when I do that I just start thinking about how bad my withdrawals are and how bad im feeling and whatnot. The more you can keep yourself busy, the easier it will be. I would take 1hr walks around the neighborhood 3 or 4 times a day, take about 4 showers a day (hot showers always made me feel better for some reason), and play a lot of video games. The idea is to keep your mind occupied. Boredom is your worst enemy in withdrawals.

As far as freaking out around 10-11pm goes, my only guess would be that 10-11pm is a popular time in your daily routine to get high. If that is the case then you probably started craving it alot more at that time, and when you didnt have anything to satisfy the cravings it made you more bored and depressed and it just spiraled out of control from there. I still struggle with nighttime cravings because I always did dope at night. I dont usually even think about it during the day but when it starts getting dark outside then I start to crave it sometimes.

They probably never had withdrawal cause they never attempted to quit. I guess everyone is different but I would be willing to bet money that anyone who has been taking ANY opiate for more than 2 or 3 weeks will get withdrawal if they try to stop. It doesnt surprise me at all that your getting withdrawals after 2 months of use. It may not seem like very long to you but I had been doin dope for years and years, tried to quit many times, and as such became very acquainted with how long of daily use it took to cause withdrawals as well as how long I could go without opiates before I would start withdrawing if I was already physically dependant on them. Theres some leeway between different people, but not all THAT much. Its still the same class of drug, acting on the same receptors, having the same effects and whatnot.

No I'm currently unemployed and looking for a job. I feel as if it hits me more when I have to sit here at home all day where I'm usually high. But today I spent most of the day away from the house. Which made me feel a little better. But as soon as 10-11pm came and I was sitting at home I started freaking out.
Could it be because I'm to accustomed to being high where I live?

No problem.  I totally understand anxiety and what it can do to you.  I am glad you went to the ER and got checked out.  It should relieve your mind.  I am pretty sure everything is anxiety related and the lack of sleep is just intensifying it.  That's how it always was for me.  That's probably why the prescribed the clonodine because they figured it would help with the anxiety and sleep.
Just hang in there and sleep when you can.  Do you have to work?

An they just dot understand how I feel. It's like I have no one to talk to about it because no one understands.

As far as the MJ withdrawals go, I find that highly unlikely given your situation. When id go out of town for a few days after smokin bud daily for a few years the only withdrawal symptom I would get is maybe a little trouble sleeping (not full blown sleep deprivation like with opiate withdrawals) and a loss of appetite.

Thankyou so much everybody. Ie had thoughts that I've been just dying. But I went to the er like I said yesterday and my lab results came back good and I even had them give me a head catscan because of how weird I've been feeling and the headaches. But all tests showed up good.

Oh and for me it has always taken 3 days of daily opiate use, be it heroin or hydrocodone, and on the 4th day I will get minor withdrawals. 3 days was always the threshold for me. If youve been taking any kind of opiate every day for more than 2 or 3 weeks then I would say its 90% likely that you are suffering opiate withdrawals.
