Hi, Been clean for almost  2 years from an OC addiction, 1.5 tears clean from suboxen, I used for a good 10 years. I quit on my own (white knuckle style,,) Ive had all the side effects that come along w/ ..depersion, anxiety..but the worse part for me is my brain. I cant remember ANYTHING, I have trouble making conversations w/ anybody, trouble thinking of the most basic words.. Is their any thing i can do ? & I have been seeing a Phyco-therapist the whole time. He's a quack hasn't helped. I am not on any meds

Will I get better its been almost 2 years..Is there anything that can help me?

Hi,

Your psychotherapist is really important, but therapy won't work if you have no confidence in your therapist.

You should go back to your family doctor, and explain your current fears, just as you did in your post.  You should also ask if he/she can refer you to a different therapist.

Either anxiety or depression could be contributing to your symptoms.

You could also exercise your brain using crosswords and brain training games. Choose the simplest ones until your level of confidence improves.
