Day 2 off Norco

It's been 42 hours since I took a pill.  Day 2 isn't too bad.  Legs hurt a bit and stomach is upset but it's mild.  I am getting tired of being inside the house, I may try to go out later.  A huge wave of emotion came over me a few minutes ago and I started crying.  I am realizing what a mess I have made of my life and not just my life but my husbands.  We were so fortunate to be able to move to Hawaii 15 months ago but ever since we got here, it's been all about me and my pain and my pill addiction.  I had surgery in Feb 2014 and felt amazing after just a few days.  I finally felt like I had my life back.  Instead, I kept taking the pills for fun and here I am today.  I feel like I ruined our time here.  We are now leaving to go back to CA Jan 30th.  I am excited to start fresh but I still feel like I didn't live it up here in Hawaii like I should have.  I won't let these pills control me any longer.

Hi
I was on hydrocodone for a year and a half but I started using it more for fun  after my surgery in Feb 2014.  I think I really started to take a lot about 7 or 8 a day, sometimes 10 or 12 around May or June 2014.  So really not too long.  I am on day 3 and went to the gym and feeling pretty good.  I took imodium AD and it helped my stomach.  I feel really good today actually.  I think I'm one of the lucky ones :)

If you don't mind my asking, how many a day were u using? And for how long?  I'm just curious as I'm about 40 hours behind you and though I know what to expect as sadly this isn't my first detox it is always nice to hear and track to others progress, etc.  Keep up the great work!

If Hawaii is where you decided to turn your life around then I don't think you should consider it a loss at all. Time to take stock of your life and count your blessings too. When you feel like you can... maybe as part of a clean start in Ca... find a NA meeting...and maybe a therapist to help you figure things out and so you wont slip back again.
