I'm home from detox 8 days clean

Question

I got home on Monday and I'm feeling really good. I have no cravings for my percocets and I love it. I called my doctors office yesterday to talk to the nurse about something and she asked me if I wanted to come in and pick up my percocet script and I told her no. I'm going to try out Celebrex for pain hopefully that will help. I'm going to do follow up care with the psychiatrist that I was seeing there at the detox center. They wanted me to do a 30 day follow up with them but they kept pushing me to go to AA and say I'm an alcoholic which I'm not. So I said no. I don't like someone pushing stuff down my throat that doesn't pertain to me. Anyway I'm gonna do follow up care my way not theirs. Well just wanted to check in and give a update.

Very Good..I just heard lately about those...I am happy you can go to that one..It is like a roller coaster ride all the time..I am sorry if I sounded a little rough..I have been having a bit of a tough time with this darn Disease even in my 7m..I just run to a meeting..Family Support is awesome too.. I am very happy for you too...

I'm going to see the psychiatrist and find N/a meetings in my area to attend. They have PP/A meetings so I most likely go there since we will be talking about pain medicine addiction.

The disease is never over..The detox is the easy part of this...The meetings are for us to learn the tools so we can be prepared for what life throws at us..
I have not had a drink in 8 years but I got to both AA/NA and it becomes a new life to stay around clean people..They are very up lifting too!! I have to have support and so does most of us..With out it I would be Using Right Now in my 7m...Check them out !!!!!
