hi all. i have been reading these posts on here since the 10th of jan 2013 because that was the last time i took any methadone. i was taking 80 mg off the street every 3 days for a yr and i will tell whoever is reading these threads that there is light at the end of the tunnel. i just keep telling myself everyday that this will not last forever, it has to go away. but anyway the reason i am here is to introduce everyone to my journey ive been on for the past 2 weeks and what i did to cope with it. i cant speak for all,i can only tell what helped me and hopefully it helps everyone here. the main thing that helped me was the w**d and i just used it strickly for the withdrawls. it helped me to put food in my stomach and i really think that is a big factor in wds. because everyone here knows that you cant eat when you going through it. another thing that i researched was what to do about the chills. and i found out that iron vitamins will get your blood moving and take oxygen throughout the body which should have you warm up.also i took vitamin b12 for energy and depression, vitamin b complex also for energy, and bc powder for the pains in my legs.  didnt have any diariah but 2 times.and i am not getting but 4hrs of sleep.now today is the fourteenth day and im not quite out of the woods just yet. all of my symptoms are gone except for i cant seem to get a good nights rest  the chills i still get every now and then which tells me im almost done.and most of all my energy and fatigue are missing still. put it like this, its not that i cant do anything its i dont have any motivation to do anything. another thing is as soon as you are ok to get up and walk around, go for a short walk. hot baths help too. so i hope and pray for everyone on here and it will come to pass.

Oh--and by the way, Jan 10 was when I stopped taking Tramadol!

Yay for you!!!!!! That's awesome. I think that a little herb is a great aid to some, and we shouldn't be afraid to talk about it. Obviously anything can be abused, but I think that people are realizing it truly is a miracle drug for some things and deserves respect as such. I get really paranoid on it and extra-introverted, so I've steered clear, but honestly only for that reason.

I love how you are acknowledging that you are uncomfortable but not getting mired down by it. You seem really determined and like these minor temporary inconveniences are just what you have to go through. Thanks for sharing what worked for you and letting us know you're out there!

Keep that attitude. I've lived through a lot, but methadone was one that almost put me down for good. You've come a long way, time will heal all things. Glad you decided to share.
