Is there any relief from withdrawls

Let me start by saying I had a horrible addiction from oxicotin. I was on methadone for 4 yrs and I have been clean from EVERYTHING for 2. I got a job and 6months later I tore ligaments and pulled muscles and fractured my ribs. The Dr put me on hydrocodone. Its been only 6weeks and now I am suffering withdrawals. I AM HAVING OXICOTIN NIGHTMARES!! I am mentally falling apart and emotionally feel like I did when I was on Oxys:( I have a Dr appointment this morning and I am going to tell him the truth. I don't understand:'( I wasn't abusing them:'( why am I going through withdrawals after 6weeks! What can I do?

Your body is dependent on them even if yr mind isn't.  Tell ur dr.  They shld b able to give u something for ur stomach and the anxiety.  IMO I wld nit take methadone it suboxone for this because then ull go through it again and worse.  I feel awful for u.  Don't give up.  Ull make I through, but get them to help with ur anxiety.

It seems like once you have been "bitten" once it takes a VERY short time to feel full WD again. I have had WD after taking meds for like under a week! I believe out brains are permanently altered after being addicted and after that it just ***** the meds in and it literally takes DAYS and we are feelin it again.
It took a pretty long time for me to become a physically dependent addict but once I did if I relapse now my body and brain are causing me hell in NO TIME.

Hi there!
I agree with Minn ... sharing what you're going through with your doctor is the best thing you can do! I don't know why you're having such a hard time but it WILL pass. Not soon enough as far as you're concerned I'm sure. Keep yourself hydrated and try to eat at least a little something whenever you can. Soaking in the tub would help as well. I hope you'll let us know how you are doing! Take care ...

Hi and welcome. You may not be addicted since you took them as directed, but unfortunately, even if you do that you still get physically dependent. Telling your doctor is a great idea. You may be able to get something to take short term to help you through the worst of it. The good news is that the withdrawal may not be as bad or last as long because you have been taking them for a relatively short time. We are all different, though, so keep that in mind.

Best of luck and keep posting!
