Is this Percocet withdrawal?

I had rotator cuff surgery 5 weeks ago.   In first week, took 8  5mg-325 percocet for surgery pain.   After that, took two pills 2-3 times a day for about 3 weeks.   For past two weeks, have taken 2 pills once or twice a day.   Am now taking 2 pills once a day, but have severe flu -- sweating, fever, runny nose, weak.   Can this be withdrawal?   Can I get addicted in just 5 weeks, with the last few weeks taking only 2-6 pills a day?

I want to continue to take 2 pills a day for pain (and to make the flu symptoms go away) for about 2 more weeks, but I don't just want to prolong what could be withdrawal.   Do I need to stop cold now?

What Cathy said is right, if you take the pills and those symtoms go away, then it's withdrawels. If that is the case, yes, stop them now, before you get in over your head. If the pills do not stop those symtoms, then, I hope you get better soon cause you have the flu.

i am afraid all you describe are w/d symptoms...but i guess you could have the flu.  if it is w/ds when you take the pills it should go away.  and yes your body could become dependant in 5 weeks.  hope this helped some.
