Some Advice (Actually mimi1313's Advice)

Giving credit where credit is due, to Mimi, who gave me this wonderful advice.

Exercise.

I've been clean for 13 days now and on day 11 she advised me to get some exercise.  I didn't feel like it but I got on the treadmill and did cardio for 20 minutes.  Dizzy as hell when I got done but felt like my brain had taken a "dump". Some of the fog had lifted and my endorphines were on the move.

Keep in mind, you won't feel like doing it but once you do you'll feel the results and its worth the effort.

On day 12, my energy returned earlier in the afternoon than the previous days.  Mornings are my worst time.

Did the same workout on day 12 and as of today, day 13, I can feel my energy is returning.  I'm actually having the best morning so far and I'm looking forward to the afternoon.

Stay away from the caffeine, it drains your energy.  I'm drinking Gatorade for the electrolytes which aide in brain function/recovery.

Thanks Mimi

O.K. I realize that I didn't relate my above comment correctly.

I meant, you can literally "hear" the sincereness.

Sorry.

Thought I'd correct this before the mob began to form..  LOL

When i was going threw WD's myself someone gave me the same advice. I was like you have got to be kidding me. I didnt even want to get up to shower let alone excercise or go for a walk. Not to mention it was December and i hate the cold. Anyways i dragged my lazy butt up put tons of layers on, resembled the kid in The Christmas Story LOL, and walked out the door. Everyone that saw me and knew me must of thought i was crazy. There i am in the middle of the night, going threw terrible WD's all bundled up walking in the freezing cold. What a sight. I will say though it helped. Alot actually. It took my mind off of how crappy i felt and i actually stopped the pitty party for a while. By the time i got back home i did feel like i had a little more energy and was in a bit better frame of mind. I continued this daily and it really did help. I have always walked and excersiced but when i stopped hte pills i had no eneregy to do so. I am glad i took the advice. Now when i am talking to someone new here that is dealing with WD i always suggest going for a walk. It really does help!
