Kick the lortabs.. Support please!

I have a question I take 20 to 22 lortab 10mg at a time.. And I want to quit.. I get pains when I quit for a day but I know if I keep taking 20 of them at a time I'll die.. If I quit cold turkey will I die? Because I want to just quit I know I can.. I know itll be tough.. Just scared replies are greatly appreciated.

Brother don't go and get the refill that is for sure, go tell them your problem and get help, not a FIX.  I agree with all the posts you will regret going back just to go thru it again.  I had the same problem, but luckily I was given the oxy's with out any Acc/tylenol but it made it that easier for me to OD on opiates, just hang in there and really really on a Higher Power to help you thru this, and go to meetings when you start to fill better, it will help, it is always good to know that you are not the only one that has went thru this...Stay strong!

20 at a time?  Do u take them once a day at 20 or several times a day?  How long?
Your liver will love u if u stop!
When an addict starts doing this amount of pills..it is usually not about pain anymore, it is their disease rearing its ugly head and the only way out is to stop
I am not sure how many you take daily and did not read thru all the following posts so i may have missed sumpin.

Taking fewer at a time thru-out the day makes stopping easier...ie 5 pills 4xa day vs 20 at one time..there is an article on tapering in the health pages as well as the thomas recipe..an article on dopamine and its role in addiction may help u understand addiction as well///If i understand I am more likely to comply

Tapering is tough for an addict tho//u will need support//lots....if u could even get ur dose cut in half then jump off it may help...CT is not gonna kill anyone unless they are very ill with a heart condition....and it is do-able.  I have seen folks who take 400 mgs a day CT...wasnt easy tho...never is.

keep us posted...and be nice to you liver...addiction can be such a hard disease to live with...it is mind over matter tho when it comes to quitting//

Hey guy you can win this battle but the war is not over.the 10th is usmc birthday the 11th is veterans day,The 12th could be the most important day of your life.I will pray for you that you make the right dissision on that day.You have a lot of support and comradarie on this site we are all routing for you.You are our hero .Stay strong  move a muscle change a thought.Do some exercise.Walk around the block take a bike ride,drink a gallon + of water a day and try to remove this crap out of your system.You are not alone in this battle .Many of us have been there and we can help you,with our experiance strenth, and hope.Good luck I will pray for you my brother.

You've come this far.  Trust me if you get that prescription refilled you will seriously regret it.    By then you will be done with the WDs.  Why mess that up?  Been there ... done that.  I know no one ever learns from some one else's mistake, but really ... if you get it refilled you will look back at this day some day and go, "Wow, why oh why did I do that?".

ALSO!, i've got an appt. on the 12th to get my 180 pills.  hydro 10, acedaminfen 500 and I dunno what to do it's mandatory.... if I ddon't go Ill tell her... ask for something else, maybe to come down off.... hurting guys pulling in tho..

WOW! JUST OUT OF NO WHERE! I was listening to that song I posted earler; sitting in my bed watching tv.. and my leg pain went completly away!!!!  now talking about it; of coarse it's back.. lol.. been 3 days and 4 hours! still tryingmy hardest guys....
