Klonopin and Methadone is it fatal
If you go to jail and are on 300 mg of methadone and are addicted to klonopin cna you die from withdrawl?
I don't know the mg of Klonopin you are on, but using it along with Methadone CAN be life threatening if your dose is high enough. Benzo w/d can be very dangerous, causing seizures. w/d from Methadone is VERY hard as it goes into your Bone Marrow and is in your body for a very long time. w/d from Methadone at 300mg is going to be EXTREMELY painful and you will get VERY sick from it. And jails either go one of two ways: they either don't give a rip and let you w/d on your own (very dangerous especially if you are w/d from Benzo's also), or two: they will be compassionate and help you. You need to TAPER down on both meds....it will be very hard. You need to be evaluated medically and I sincerely hope where you are at will be compassionate and help you.

I've been in jail in 2 different jails and they each did things differently. One jail let me rot on the floor going thru the worst wds of my life. The other one jacked me up on clonodine as soon as I got there. Neither was particularly fun.
And depakote is an anti-convulsive for treatment of seizures, mostly used for bipolar disorder. I doubt that dose much to ease wds but at least it's somewhat of a safeguard against seizures...

altho, i think you have to be all but dying. like a dr has to come in and evaluate the situation and deem it completely needed.....

I am pretty sure if you are in withdrawl in jail, the jail will give you medicine to help you thru it....(if you're bad enough).....
I have known of a couple people who were in withdrawl....in jail...and meds were given to them to help ....

I was on a tons of xanax and yes I agree with all the above seek help form a doctor better yet check into a rehab one that does true rehab NOT A DETOX center you shoudl look for one that its pretty much a 28-30 day program.. This is the safe way to do this benzo's are a nasty W/D do you know of any rehabs in you area?
yes...i have heard horror stories at NA meetings about this kind of stuff...if u know u r going to jail then please take some recourse now...u do not want to be in jail and detox...get a plan and get prepared to help urself be safe
Going cold turkey off of high doses of benzos like klonopin can cause seizures or death. Can you go to an inpatient detox before you go to jail? Or if it's someone else, can they? Some jails are equipped to handle people going thru detox. If not they'll have medical staff that should be able to put that person in a safe place. Personally, if you have a choice.... go to detox before you go to jail. It ***** something awful to detox in jail!!! Definitely contact a doctor or detox facility if you can.
There is no one here that can answer that for sure on this site plz talk to a doctor before you/whoever goes to jail if its not fatal it will be VERY VERY BAD.Do you/them have any time to taper? Do not let this go its soming you HAVE to talk to your doctor about you
it is a possibility..not so much the methadone altho at that dose it would be horrid...but ct from klonopin can kill u if ur dose is high...the combo sounds like a really bad idea...if u r going to jail then u need to do something soon
