Tapering Off

I was sure I submitted this question yesterday, but I don't see it in the Forum, so I'll post it again.
I had a bad back injury in Oct. I have been on Vicodin since then. I want to get off the Vicodin as I have noted withdrawal symptoms when I am late taking it or don't take the prescribed dose. I began at 750mg 3x/da, then down to 500mg 3x/da, now at 250mg 3x/da. Just before my dose time, I have a severe headache, shaking hands, gritted teeth, and feel awful. Any suggestions for something over the counter that can help with these symptoms. I am tapering off on a weekly basis. Thank you for your time and interest, it is sincerely appreciated.

HI and welcome...Try and look up the thomas recipe here..its on the bottom right hand side of the screen under the health pages..take plenty of hot baths it will ease alot of ur symptoms ur having..i took a 3-1 vitamin..it was a calcium/magnesium/zinc vitamin..i took 4 in the morning and 4 in the evening..it helped out alot..it sounds like ur experiencing some anxiety, try doing some breathing exercises...eat plenty of fish and chicken and drink whey protein shakes..good luck to ya and keep posting for support and to let us know how ur doing....Angie ♥
