Leaving Tomorrow...only 15mg of Roxi in 8 days.

Well I am leaving for the vacation tomorrow. I am proud to say that I have only had 15MG of Roxi in the last 8 days! I twisted my already injured knee so I took my last Roxi on Monday or Tuesday but had been 3 or 4 days clean. Since then, I gave my wife the refill and told her to get rid of it. I have had many phone calls asking me if I wanted pills and even watched two friends do some. I am still taking the tramadol which I started on Saturday. I was taking 2 50mg pills a day and then for the last two days I am taking a half of a pill 3x a day so a total of 75MG. I plan on going down to 50MG a day while on vacation and then the next day back I will be out of the tramadol. I bought several types of vitamins and something similar to the crave control but its called stress relief...identical ingredients. My mood hasnt changed since my good morning post hours ago. These WD's were by far the easiest to get through but I did have them. I have always been lucky because my physicals never get bad, yes I have tried this many times. It's the mental that gets me. I hope all of you who are fighting this battle stay sober and I will post when I get back to let you know how the tramadol taper from opiates worked and if I felt any WD's from the 10 day of use with the Tramadol. Keep in mind the prescribed dosage is 200MG so I was only using half and I would never recommend anyone do this. I have a very strong will when it came to my intake. After 7 years of use I would never take more than 5MG lortab every two hours and it would still get me high. I couldnt justify the cost of taking a 10MG at once...lol...ironic huh....I probably spent well over 10 grand in 7 years on pills because most of the time they were street bought. Anyways, I feel so good but I lack motivation to do things that I did when I was on pills which was work like a madman. I am in a sales profession and loved talking to people or doing paperwork on pills. I truly hope that hard worker is me and not the pill addiction. I dont know what I will do if I lose that but I know taking a pill will not be the solution. There is no sense in worrying about it now and I will fight that battle when it comes.. Besides that I am happy as hell right now, & comfortable. I excited about feeling and smelling life! I actually have emotions and I am not just a pill munching homer simpson zombie...homer chomp, chomp, chomp...like he does with the donuts. I bought a real expensive digital camera to help build a healthy habit and truly appreciate the beauty of life. I went outside and played in the rain just thankful to be able to smell the salt water air...I ask that all of you realize that success and happiness in life is the appreciation of the small things and seeing the beauty of life. I hope you all realize that success is not measure by the size of your bank account but instead by the bonds we make with each other. I have finally realized that after the death of some very good friends and not traveling to see my family in many years. I had good times on the pill but when I look back on my life while I am laying in my death bad do I want to see someone who may have worked hard and sat home because the pill made me content or someone that experienced life and lived it to the fullest no matter how hard the struggle was? Remember, we are the strong ones and by fighting this battle there is nothing we cant do. For those of you who won or will win this battle just remember that in our journey called life we shall certainly fall down but I guarantee all of you will have the strength to get back up.

Thanks, I thought maybe a few words of inspiration would help someone today. I take so much from this site, that I can only hope to give even a piece of it back in my lifetime. You know that feeling we get when we get inspired? Well that feeling is better than any pill and this I can promise you. My fortune cookie yesterday read "The great and glorious masterpiece of mankind is how to live with purpose". The lucky number was 2. My vacation is the 2nd! Coincidence? I dont know...........I dont want to know!
