important to remember

I still take 2 or 3 valium a week to help me relax and sleep. I don't consider this a relapse. I look back at where I was a year ago and the progress I have made has been more than I ever expected. I heard this in AA that we are not working for perfection but for progress. As long as we are making progress and moving in the right direction that's good enough for me. Just because someone relapses should not erase the progress they have made.

I don't think the valium is a relapse, but I do know it's easy to get hooked on. I took one last night to sleep and it has the side effect of making me hungry. If that's the only way I can get a good nights sleep I will take it. But like I said I keep it to a minimun. After not taking anything for a while just a half has a big effect on me.

That is certainly not a relapse.  I hope you haven't been pondering this too much, progress is progress.  You gotta apprectiate any better state you're in now, and keep at it anyway you can.
