I wish I could give us all a get outta withdrawal free card but I can't find where to get em at.

know the feeling...drinking has caused me my fair share of sorrow and problems over the years...was something i have alwys controlled tho...but u never know and probably giving up drinking completely is not a bad idea for most of us...that is all i would need now is to have a couple of beers and get pulled over!   staying clean and living life with clean receptors/nuerotransmittes that can work because i am not aquashing them...to be able to feel and respond without substances is my goal

My kindness used to make me go broke because I would feel bad for other people if they didn't have something and get them some too...lol I guess its just in me to give, and worried I could have used one of those get of jail cards about 2 yrs. ago on a DUI, I quit drinking a year after that because I just made dumb decisions on alcohol and other drugs too in general, not that I couldn't handle it that was the problem I could hold mine so I overdid things and got me in trouble, I wish I could change a lot of things but I would never trade my sobriety in for anything not even a get out free just to have the excuse to use!!!!!

mike you are the sweetest recovering addict i have ever seen.  most of would horde them all for themselves if they ran accross one of those cards, just in case we needed them, lol.  for real though, you are one of the best guys i know.

Withdrawl is a bi#c& but it's only half the battle. It's easier go through narcotic detox than to STAY STOPPED. I know on this board we are mostly focused on detox but let's not forget the bigger picture.

but eh, your clean now and in the clear, we just gotta buckle up for this post accute craziness, but if you can make it for one second, one more minute, one more hour, one more day at a time you are that much closer to being clean, and it feels so much better taking it one step and realizing that it only gets easier.
