Best Meeting thus far

Tonight was a speaker meeting which I really enjoy. The tone and raw emotion this man spoke with as he shared his story was beyond incredible.  It was so deep and real.  It touched me.  I mean really brought up emotion in me that I haven't felt in a long time.  As you all know I have been struggling with FEELING anything.  Let me tell you I cried hard when I left, I had to pull over and let it out.  And ya know what... It felt awesome.  Who knew I would feel good about crying my eyes out!  I needed it I guess.  I have been feeling a lot better the past couple weeks, more myself, yet different if that makes sense.  Thank you for pushing me to go to meetings.  I was scared as hell, but it was the best thing I could have done for myself.

Hey Girly you rock.....I can not over efasize how important these meetings are they are part of your recovery and you always get something out of them you never have to use again!!!! and this program reinforces that keep coming back and recovery will follow it is critical that people her see others that enjoy and  get inspired and go back to these meeting I go to 4 a week I would go more but I have to work you are on your way to a successful recovery keep doing what your doing and you will experience life on a whole new level....keep posting for support.............................Gnarly......................................

I love Speaker meetings too. I walk away with do much insight. You know you are not the only one who has been there, done that. I'm so happy you are getting so much too. It is all paert of the healing and growing part. Our addictions will always be part of us, but it won't control us anymore.

Great post Brandi. It's awesome to see how you've grasped the NA program like you have. That crying spell is out of total gratitude for the wonderful new life of freedom that you fought hard for and that you've won. With the NA program of recovery you'll always be improving on this new life of yours. I think you're beginning to comprehend the word serenity and you're finding peace! Isn't it wonderful?? Sometimes it's takes something bad, like the disease of addiction, to turn a life completely around and into a beautiful new way of living, filling a recovering addict like you with gratitude for your newfound freedom.
