Thks gnarly for post.
Ok, here's the real problem: he has extreme injury. If he even had the willpower to stop the meds, how is it even possible to live with pain?
I'm exhausted. He is too, but compared to the wd's, tiredness is nothing.
Also, even if he chose to go to rehab, how to pay w no insurance?
Ok thks.

HI well it sounds like he got some methadone in his system...im happy he is no longer suffering ...I hope someday he will realize that there is life after methadone...and takes the proper steps to break free from his addictions ...methadone only puts a temporary hold on your addiction...it is ment to be used in conjunction with aftercare to build up a foundation
so that in the future you can be drug free...I hope he learns that the pills are only a symptom of the addiction and not the cause ...threw aftercare you can get to the root of why we use drugs in the first place for some it is self medicating a underling illness for others it is escaping a horable past...but until your ready to face the real demons in your life a pill is a disillusion to fix a deeper problem...im glad the our community was able to help you threw this difficult time...stick around here...and gain knowledge about addiction and recovery... information is empowering and you will learn how to help him help himself good luck and my god bless the 2 of you abundantly.....Gnarly
Well thank God he's beginning to feel better. Thank God Thank God. Thank God.
ALL his widrwl symptoms are lessening and leaving as I write!!
Those sick sick chills and sweat heat are GONE.
HIS leg is almost completely still.
He is finally beginning to feel NORMAL.
THANK GOD.
And, he has NOT taken vikes, somas, or benzo
Perhaps he learned from this - he NEVER wants to go thru this again.
Listen, THANK YOU ALL who wrote, read, prayed, cared, gave advice, didn't judge, and helped me to help him get through this.
I really don't know what he'll do next, but he is so relieved to feel normal. That is a great victory for us now, today.
Please write. Thks
I'll respond
Blessings and prayers right back at you,
Love and thanks,
Christeven
HI well its good he went to the doctor they can give him some stuff to help the withdrawals
the kicker here is unless it time to get the methadone refiled they wont be able to help him with that...you cant get it refiled early...it is a highly controlled substance and not many doctors can write scripts for it
in the state of withdrawal he in its going to be hard to hide it from a doctor...most doctors wont give out scripts for narcotics if they see your in acute withdrawal they realize you have a problem with it and will often offer some stuff to eaze the stomach problems and clonidine to help with the withdrawal symptoms so its really had to say what if anything there going to do to help him again most good doctors will recommend a detox center or rehab....I wish you luck let us know what happens at the doctors
keep posting for support...and like it or not your not in withdrawals and stuck wide awake your going to need to get some sleep here to be of any help at all so at least try to get a nap in here or there a good nights sleep would be best but your not going to be able to keep up with methadone induced insomnia ....you need to take care of you so you can help him but you need your batterys recharged to...good luck and God bless......Gnarly
I was VERY set in my ways and stubborn as a bull and i decided i just couldnt live this way anymore. Hopefully he will change his thinking too. There is always hope C. Make sure you are taking care of yourself too.........sara
He's waiting. Still in office.
Won't even consider rehab, detx or treatment.
Very set in his ways.
Which makes me wonder how or if he'll ever quit.
He won't.
