Hi well miami is nice I lived in florda for 4yrs the thing that alarms me is your trying a geographical way out the thing is it rarely works if you want to use you will use you need to learn the skills to take life on lifes terms N/a is a good start get plugged into it and you will have a fighting chance it is that addict in your brain that will scream ''get loaded'' you will need to deal with that you can do this but for addicts like you and I it takes work good luck on starting a new life....Gnarly
I forgot to mention that there is good news in the fact that you won't know any sources. After care is key, and sharing this with your partner is good news too!!!! He will see how you have overcome such a demon!!!
Hi, congratulations on wanting your clean life back. A new start....someone once told me, "wherever you go, there you are". So, make this a move in a new direction for yourself. Be transparent with your partner, get to share with other folks that can identify with you. All the very best, please stay in touch with us!!!!
Hi there. Welcome back honey. Please do whatever you have to do to truly stay clean. You are too young to waste your life away chasing demons. You need to be surrounding yourself with other recovery addicts in person and on line. You need to work at it every single day. This pill thing is not a lightweight problem. It can easily lead to harder drugs like heroin. Id hate to see you go down that road Tim. I'm praying for you and hoping you find your way this time. Love, MsD
Hi there, wow, that is a huge change moving to Miami! I agree with the above about confiding in your friend and telling him about your addiction. You will need his support. Also, first thing, would be to get into some form of aftercare. That will be critical for you staying clean.
I wish you the best with your move. Let us know how it goes. Good luck. I hate moving! :)
be safe. it would be kind of scary moving someplace new only knowing one person. make sure you have enough money to get home.
as stated above--- you know the drill. at some point you have to get to the point that you never will use again.
seems aftercare is what you are missing and maybe the guy in miami will attend them with you. don't try and hide your addiction. secrets keep us sick
Hi, you may hate this answer but what is your aftercare (AA/NA meetings, or other constant support.) Pills ate my $ and my life, too and I learned the hard way that I just can't remove the pills from my life and put nothing in it's place: I would just keep obsessing about them.
So, you know the detox drill I'm sure. Now just plan for the emotional part so you don't have to deal w/ this again.
Keep posting!
