My 27th day. Dont know if I can do this...

Its my 27th day off Methadone.  The withdrawal is still given me trouble.  The pain in my legs, fatigue, and sleeping are the worse.  Dont want to stop now but damn, I dont know if I can take much more of this. Went to the Dr and that was a joke.  Dont know where to turn.

Try to stay positive and take it one day at a time. Hope that tomorrow you'll feel a bit better, then when dawn breaks tomorrow, perhaps you will. Just don't give in now. You haave come so far. I've kinda accepted that my sleep will be somewhat messed up for awhile, but I have hope that every night will get better. Just at least try to lay down and rest your body even if you can't sleep. Keep hangin in there. 27 days is really fantastic, you know!

I know it is a rough time, but is it really worse now than when you first started w/d? Do you really want to start all over again? that is what you will do if you go backwards and take it. It is far better to hang in there and Git-R-Done. You will feel so much better when you get your life back.
You can do this!

Plese don't give up, you have come too far now.  Before you know it, you will blink and you will be at month 2, and believe me it is AWESOME and can only get better at this point.  For the sleep, I recommend going to wal-mart and seeing if they have the "Rapid-Sleep PM".  It is in a green box and it has helped me so much.  It doesn't knock you out immediately and if you do have to get up and do something, you can.  It has helped me so much, I only wake up once during the night (to go to the bathroom) and then I am able to fall right back asleep.

Good luck and keep up the good work

Don't get discouraged. It will get better. Don't give in now, as that will be 27 days you'll be throwing away. I hit my 30th day off methadone today. My sleep cycle is still messed up and I'm also still having some lower back pain occasionally, but I want so bad to stay clean.  My bathtub was my best friend for awhile. And I still occasionally will run a hot bath in the middle of the day to soak my aching self. I'm not sure how long the sleep issues last. I have good nights and bad. The last week for me seems to be bad, re: sleep, strangely enough. Have you tried a sleep aid, such as benadryl, tylenol pm, etc.? Please don't give up now. You've kicked the worst part, IMO.

the life before addiction again is not out of reach, but it's so normal to feel that way right now. i truly believed for awhile it was impossible to climb out and could never be happy again, but that is bull sh it. your right, it's so hard, in fact at first it's absolute h ell getting clean, but it's worth it to get our lives back. hang in there and don't give up, you can do this.

listen, your almost a month off methadone and that is great, but you can't turn back now. it seems there are quite a few here lately coming off meth and it's no picnic, but it will get better. im sorry your having a tough time right now, but all these feelings won't last. methadone is a b itch to come off and it seems to take longer to w/d from. why was the doctor a joke? please hang in there, you will be feeling like a new man soon.

P.S. congrats on 27 days :)
