Any help for opiate detox?

I've been on Norco's for almost ten years and I'm only 34. Today is the first day of detox and I'm miserable.  I have somehow managed to keep this a secret from everyone, even my husband. I am a professional and telling would be fatal.  I have read posts and stories and to tell the truth I was highly functionable on the drugs and no one noticed.  SO now that I have decided that I'm done I have no choice but to do it cold turkey.  The main complaint i have is the feeling like jumping out of my skin.  Any help and support would truly be greatly appreciated.

trdofbeingtrd gave you some great advice.....I would add protein shakes to your regimement as well....They are full of lean protein and is loaded with the amino acids your body is going to need to rebuild.  The worst part only lasts 3-5 days....after that you will start to feel better almost daily....You can do this, you will probably want to look into AA or NA when you can get up off the couch....Aftercare is amazing and we all need a little help from a friend to get past this disease....WE truly need to keep our guard up for the rest of our lives, which is kind of depressing but is better than a life on pills!  I am working on my 3rd month sober and I am here to tell you that life on the other side is FANTASTIC.....I too hid my addiction for everyone....I am about your age and even my wife did not know of my little secret.....Cold Turkey is going to be tough to hide from your husband but if you haven't been sick laterly play it off as you have the flu.....If you can afford to take a few days off work do it!  I usually took Thrusday and Friday off and then had the weekend so by Monday I was working on day 5 already.  Keep posting and God Bless!

Check out the "Thomas recipe". Also, exercise, lots of water, comedy (you will start getting very very emotional, so it's best to keep it a happy emotional), hot soaks, hot soaks, hot soaks (yes, I typed it three times, they help), highlands restful legs (can be bought at wal mart), find a place where you can yell and scream without worry, then yell and scream without worry (after having a huge emotional vocal breakdown I feel better for a while, garlic pills for blood pressure (if it's safe), and if you want, I can send you some tips/techniques to help with anxiety if you experience it.

Keep posting here, there are a lot of people who can support you.
