Thanks for the encouragement. I could use to put on a few pounds. I have lost 25lbs since I have been trying to come off of this s**t. Yeah I think Lyrica is an anti-epileptic drug as well. Thank you.
I used Lyrica and it really helped but it does makeyou gain weight. I think they are basically used for the same ting and it really did help. Good luck Fire I know you can do this!
I wish more doctors would prescribe gabapentin for people going through withdrawals. I know you don't want to change one drug for another but from what i read it is not habit forming. I now we've all heard that before though! I wasn't on it long enough so I can't say for sure. What I can say it was amazing how much easier withdrawals were. I have detoxed 6 times and this last time took the gabapentin. What a difference it made!
Congrats on going at it again. Relapse happens to the best of it. All you can do is use it as a learning experience, look this addiction in the eyes, and toss it to the curb! Stay strong! You can do this and bury it once and for all! Best of luck to you!
Thanks! It has been fabulous so far!! I feel achy but I don't have the creepy crawlies which get really bad for me. I have to work so it isn't like I can take valium or something. I wasn't planning on being on it for too long, but I am amazed at how much easier the withdrawals are this time, then the last time. (Yeah I relapsed, sorry) But I dusted myself off and started again.
I was originally prescribed neurontin for my sciatic pain. It didn't really help with th pain at all. I did some reading on it and found out it is used it some detox centers. So, I used it when coming off of hydrocodone. It made a huge difference. I'd say it took away 90% of the withdrawal symptoms. I only took it for about 7 to 10 days. It did help with the rls and sleep. The only thing that bothered me was a bit of anxiety. I can't really say it it caused any sort of personality change. With anything though I would only take it as long as you have too. If on it for awhile it does have to be tapered off of. When you do a search for it type in gabapentin, the generic name. It brings up much more information on it. Maybe call a pharmacist and ask them. The should have the better answers about it. Best of luck and let me know how it works for you!

I had a crazy weekend. Since my husband and I have the only grandchild and great grandchild in both of our families we had to go to 3 different dinners this weekend. So I am sorry I wasn't online. Oh and on Friday I had my tooth finally pulled. I had nitrous oxide and it made me sick for the entire day. The dr gave me some darvocet for the pain, but I didn't take any. Actually my husband took the bottle and ate all of them. There was only 12 so I guess its not that bad.
i dont know anything at all about it. i just wanted to say i have been missing you. glad to see you posting. you will get through this you know we are here
much love

bmc swears by it. It helped minimize the withdrawals.
