New addict want to get off of Norcos

Bottom line, I started taking 2 to 3 Norcos (10/325) per day.  It makes me feel much better with lots of energy just as people have been saying here.  I'm a performer/singer and I found it made me a better performer for a short while.  But now I can see it's not something I want to be on.  I cut the pills in half and try to reduce my dosage.  Got down to 1/2 pill in 1 day but now I'm back up to 2 to 3 tabs per day.  Am I just still mildly addicted or will I be having very bad withdrawal symptoms at that dosage?  So is 2 to 3 really bad?  I began having more serious problems with depression I've noticed lately.

Yea before too long the pills take ur joy away and ur only relief is more pills. Quit now while ur dose is still lower. Ur wD won't be as bad and more short term. You are smart to notice this now while YOU still have choices. Congratulations!

Well now is a great time to quit.  You are going to have depression while taking pain pills and that is not as bad as it gets.  You said you are a performer and over time the pain pills are going to affect that as well.  I know while I was on pain pills it made it to where I didn't even like the sound of music and I love music.  They always help until they hurt

Hello and welcome. No 2or 3 - 10mgs pills is not alot but your tolerance will go up quickly.
It is best to just stop, go cold turkey. You tried tapering and it didnt work.
Get rid of all the pills you have. So you aren't tempted to take them.

How long have you been taking them?
