I need help with my addiction to Lortab 10

I'm a 21 year old male with no medical conditions and I've been severely addicted to Lortab 10/500mg for the last year and a half. I take them just for the "high" but I've reached my breaking point. It's destroying my life. I take between 10 and 20 pills a day and I feel as tho if I don't stop I'm going to die. I've been to jail for illegally obtaining them and now my partner is threatening to divorce me if I don't stop. Please help me get through the withdrawals and staying sober. My life depends on it.

You got some great suggestions---treatment if possible, NA meetings and counseling. For me, they were all a must.

Right now you need to get the drugs out of your body first, at least for the first few days. Do you plan on going ct or tapering?

When I got clean I went to treatment and it worked wonders for me. Is treatment an option for you? If not, I'd really suggest you trying to make it to an NA meeting even though your going through wd, it helped me get out of my own head and gave me a place that people could really help me get through it in addition to this site.

Hi, welcome here, salvegas :)

once you have taken this decision, you will need working hard on your new life. First thing is detoxing... you can read the health pages ( on the right side ) the thomas recipe and the amino acid protocol where you can find some good advices to go through those days and to recovere and help your body after years of abusing. Then you will need making life changes and a plan to stay clean.... we can talk later about it but the best way is through a healthy and disciplined life, getting rid of toxic relationships and  adressing our personal problems ( the roots of our addiction )  with the help of NA meetings or an addiction therapist... whatever works for you.
