Percocet Withdrawal

About two weeks ago I realized I was becoming addicted to using 30mg blue percocets. I quickly realized that I went from being a weekend warrior to a daily user, taking an average of 60mg per day for almost a straight month. 4 days ago I decided that I got myself in this mess and had to get out so I stopped using cold turkey. I can not begin to describe what the withdraws feel like. I have been clean for the last 4 days and thanks to smoking a little herb here and there have been able to get over some of the side effects. Trouble is, even with sleeping aids and other remedies to try and curve the withdraws I still have no gotten through a full not of sleep. Today I was offered the lower dosage 5mg/325 pills. I am curious since it is such a lower dosage if I can take one at night to try and sleep until I cant completely ween myself off of the drugs. This has been the hardest struggle of my life thus far and I know with mind over matter I can make it but I'd still like to take these few low dosage percs to try and help ween myself off easier and help the withdrawls. I do NOT want to feel these symptoms again so I need to know I can get away with taking the 5mg to help myself instead of make it worse.

yeah like the other post said that will just prolong the withdrawals taking any amount of opiates and to tell you the honest truth 5mg just at night probably would not take away all of the withdrawals anyway it might because you are not at a very high dose at 60mg a day but either way it will prolong the inevitable because no matter what you do or take eventually you will have to go thru some kind of withdrawals but there are some things that will help are u taking any kind of vitamins or supplements? if not i would strongly suggest you start and go get a good multivitamin some vitamin b12 and b6 some vitamin c, magnesium, potassium, valerian root and melatonin
well if you decide to take my advice with the vitamins let me know and i will help you out and let you know what each of them are for and whatnot but these things will help and will also speed up the detox process

Good Luck and Godspeed

OMG....don't take anything!  You are just going to add to the problem that you are trying to fix!  Time is the only help with the insomnia.  It does get better.  If you take another pill, even a low dose, you risk staying in this situation for a longer time.

Supplements will help, like abritt said.  It is not a quick fix, but it will help you.

Good luck!  DON'T take anything, ok?!!!

Congrats on 4 days!  Taking another pill will just prolong the withdrawals.  Try to stay the course without taking  opiates.  I realize the lack of sleep is hard.  Try OTCs if you can for sleep.

Do you have any support?
