Percocet withdrawal

I have been taking Percocet for 9 months now. At most 4 5/325s per day.  For the past month I have been cutting down.  At noon today makes 24 hours with none.  Right now my legs feel like they want to jump all over the house.  I also feel like my skin is crawling.  I do have legitimate pain issues from surgical adhesions, fibromyalgia and nerve damage.  I am trying to manage that pain with over the counter meds, vitamins, and SNRIs now.  I don't have anyone I can turn to for help.  How long will this last?  I just want to give in now and get more.  Help!

You were on a very small dosage so luckily is shouldn't last too long.  Just make sure to not go back because every withdrawal is worse.  So glad you have decided to quit.  Good luck to you!  Keep us posted because this forum is really nice and will help you with any questions or concerns.

Hi there and welcome to the forum
Try taking a hot bath and if you can get some Epsom salts it will really help.  Also try a magnesium pill at night as it will help with your restless legs.  Bananas, gatorade and even potassium pills may help.
If you have bathroom issues get some imodium.  It is really helpful for that as well as other withdrawal symptoms.
It's really important to stay hydrated.
You were on a fairly low amount and not for too long so I would think the worst will be over after 3 days.  It may be sooner or a bit longer but hang in there.  If you go back to pills, it will only get worse and so will the withdrawals.  We end up having to take more for any type of relief.
Stay strong and keep posting for support, especially if you are feeling weak.

Hi and sorry your not feeling will. To be honest with you, the doses you are taking are not that high so these type of withdrawal symtoms should greatly diminsh in a few more days.
I also hated the restless leg symdrome and the crawley skin, very uncomfortable. Hot baths helped me a lot.
Are you finding comfort with OTC med for your pain as you could be experiencing both real pain from the fibro and withdrawals which would make you feel more frustrated.
