ROXY HELP

So started snorting 30 mg roxyconin for about 7 mos now and what started off 1-2 maybe 3 days a week has turned into 2-4 daily, not only is this a very expensive habit but I feel I am starting to become dependent. I am not going through any of the major wd symptoms but get aches and sweats but very mild. I am also very familiar with alcohol withdrawal and that is living hel. I want t stop and have the chance to get my hands on subs, do those work well? I am not deep but I know if this continues ill be in deep. Also with benzos help as well for withdrawal? Thanks for any suggestions

You're smart to be aware of the problem before it gets even bigger. I came to this site a long time ago in a similiar position as you. I was doing about 60-100mg of oxycontin a day. It hadnt taken over my life yet and I was still maintaining college, friends, job, social life, etc. People on here warned me of what was to come but I was too stubborn, I didn't think what they were saying could happen to me. Wow, I wish I would have heeded their advice because I ended up having to drop out of college and go to rehab more than one time. My 60mg oxy problem turned into a 300mg a day snorting oxy problem. SPending hundreds a day, waking up dope sick, lost control of my life.

It's like you've just dipped your toes in the water, but you haven't jumped in yet. IF I were you i'd do whatever I could to get away. Get help and run. You don't want to go down this path any further. It is filled with pain, destruction, torment. It's not worth it.

If you stop now you will experience withdrawals. They wont be too bad, but they will be there. It is the mental part that is the most concerning though. The cravings that make you feel like you will die if you don't go get some OC. The lack of motivation, energy, and happiness, that carries on that makes you think you can only be happy if you're on drugs. This isn't real though, its the drug trying to hook you back. But it is for this reason that it is so important to do something like aftercare. Get a counselor, go to a NA meeting, just be around people who know what youre going through and who understand. They can give you support. Validate your thoughts. Hold you accountable. It will help you so much.

It's good you've recognized that there is a problem. Don't let yourself get any deeper. It will only cause you more destruction and pain.
