Reaction to Clonodine

Every day, a new complication. After about 4 months of using Clonodine patches, and changing it once a week as prescribed by my Pain Managment doctor, I started getting a severe skin reaction after only one day. Then, I would have to move the patch twice a day. My arm looks like a checkerboard with red, itchy patches. Well, the doctor said my skin developed an allergy to it and gave me a prescription for clonodine pills. After two days of taking it 3x a day, first the areas on my skin where the patches were flared up and now I am developing the rash all over my body. I stopped taking the pills yesterday. Anybody know if your body can get saturated with this stuff? How long it stays and if I can ever take it again? My Pain (in the *ss) Management doctor will not take phone calls, so I can't even ask him until my next visit.
