update: how many days off? and how are you feeling?
thx a lot -- i really appreciate the support. i know 'they' say alot of it is in my head, but i feel like alot of it is real.. im trying to stay busy (hard when i'm unemployed), but i have a baby & that helps keep me going.
I think he's talking about the general lack of energy your going to have for a while and a lot of this can be attributed to the depression most people go through when they first start getting clean Im not trying to discourage you but it's going to last for a while the first 2 weeks ate the worst and it gets a lil better but your still going to feel like **** after that and your disuse to do anything is going to be gone and these feelings are going to hang around for like 2 months but it does get easier and easier and you go your mind can be the worst place to deal with this so I would talk and look for support where ever you can just having people to talk to that make you want to keep at it can make the difference and make dealing with it a lot easier I hope this is helpful and I hope you stay with it good luck and stay positive
hi gnarly_1 -- i'm kinda new here, talked to u yesterday about my meth detox. just wondering what u mean by energy crash? does that happen during detox or after ur at 0mgs for a while? wanna know what i can expect.
HI.....MAN I hate these clinics so you couldent pay and they droped you down that quick ?
thats crazy I guess your feeling it you mines as well have jumped from 70 probably feels the same.....right now about all you can do is damage control this is going to last about 2 weeks but will get better as your going threw it a long hot soak will help more then anything
also when your in bed at night rap a blanket as tight as you can around your legs like swaddling a baby it helps with the restless legs...also a heating pad on your calfs will help with the ache as for the sleep your just going to have to get use to being up at night for a wile dont know how long you been on it I was on it 6 1/2 yrs and it took 2 mo to get back to normal sleep coming off methadone is a process first the withdrawal then the post withdrawal theirs an energy crash that in itself can be debilitating just know that eventually you will get well for me and most other 90 days is usually the turning point by that time your sleeping and the energy crash has gone away again dont get discouraged you do get better as you go along its just going to take longer then you like keep posting for support and have a Merry Christmas .....Gnarly
Oh dear...that's a huge drop! I don't quite get why they cut you off but anyway...
Are you alone? You're not going to feel very well. I can only suggest you go to an urgent care or ER and explain what's happened. You're going to need some meds to help you through I think. Keep posting...
