I too go through the VA. I have gotten the shot Toradol by them a handful of times. They do use the generic which is called Ketorolac. So if you go through your records it will probably be listed under that and not toradol. Same thing though.
I too deal with the leg pain due to a herniated disc which causes sciatica and I still get that shot every now and then.
Best of luck to you!
Brian
Thank you for the answers! I know it wasn't anything that made me feel different so that makes me think that it was the Toradol. It worked wonders and I don't know why I didn't get it again before I started the pain pills but who knows. The VA is who has been prescribing these pills anyways. I will look through my paperwork to see if they wrote down what it was. I remember they didnt tell me what it was, just lean over for your shot!!!!!!
That would be toradol and yes the military uses it all the time!!
ohhhh yeah if you were in basic they gave you toradol that's there favorite drug for pain in the military
I would say avisg has it right. If you were in basic they wouldn't have given any opiate of any kind. They just wouldn't allow it without sending you to sick bay and in turn you would have been held back to the next cycle. Toradol is a strong nsaid that really does help. They do use it in private medicine. Just talk to your doctor and they will line it up. They also have it in pill form but I know when I had it prescribed the insurance questioned it and my doctor had to talk to them. They wondered why I need something as strong as toradol but they didn't mind paying for vidodin, percocet, and oxycontin,....go figure!
I would go to the er tell them NO narcotics there is a drug called trordol that helps alot and is non narcotic
I'm thinking of 3 that it could have been: Morphine,Demerol.or Stadol. All are opiates.
Have you tried Motrin 800mg for the hip pain?
