So grouchy today ...

I do not know which is worse, the physical ailment or my attitude right now.  I am so pissed, not sure why other than I have absolutely no control of my emotions it seems.
Anger is a sickening feeling to me right now that I would love to get rid of...

I just shaved my legs (blonde so this is a rare thing for me in the winter)...did a skin treatment and painted my toenails......I am gonna put on some jeans and head out the door to get my taxes done...but hey I will look good and it made me feel better!   Raj, I love yoga....I am a certified instructor.....wonderful mental therapy and good for pain as well

I have been in a rut...just work and do things with my kids/parents...been way slowed down on social stuff....it is like hard to leave my house and get out...since I live alone I need to..I am content with it...not complaining...just is not like me...Feel like I am no fun at all right now...I am just kinda existing...I know this is a funky day...did go to the gym and shopped for a bit...gonna get out again...sunny here..I need to enjoy it

Hey! I ordered the naturalcalm/calmag. It's been 7 days. Not sure why it's taking so long. But thanks for the advice. My power is out- wind blew it out- computer running on battery now. This weather is strange. Maybe that is a sign for me to go out and do something.
I hope you feel better

Whatthef - I am a grouchy butt tofay!  Well, I am doing better now...it comes and goes...you know all about it!  We took our B12 shot a day early yesterday...thought we might need that little boost!  Man if it weren't for that naturalcalm & calmag there is no telling how we would be feeling right now.  That is evident when we wake/get up the morning, until we drink that, we feel way worse.
We might need to get back out...we were for awhile, it is cold here...ugh....the wind has been blowing crazy around here...lots of rain, which we need very bad.

Thanks guys so much...this forum amazes me every day.

Anger is a feeling that most of us dont like to have, but it is good to have.  Let yourself feel and know that once you do, it will be better.  Part of the reason of having addiction is because we dont want to feel those nasty emotions that are so crucial to our health.
Scream into a pillow, or out loud.  Pound on something ( soft so you dont get hurt lol). You are doing great.  You will get thru this.  I am rooting for you!

Hey grouchy butt. Turn that frown upside down! lol
Sounds like you may need a B12 shot and a walk around the neighborhood. Get out the house and go do something, anything... it's the only thing that keeps me from going crazy.
You got mad wind today? It's almost like a tornado down my way
Don't be a stranger

We were all too familiar with the wd from methadone.....ugh...but it is that important to us to get past this.  Luckily, the last thing on our minds is taking opiates to curb these wd symptoms....we are simply not willing to go backwards...we will face hell first.

The upside to things is that it is somewhat of a roller coaster, which is good sometimes...like when you are in an ill mood as I was earlier...it did not last too long.  Usually I am a very happy, peaceful person but detoxing is rough...as you all know too well...

Another upside...our weekend seems to be lasting forever. Wouldn't you love that normally!  lol

Thanks so much to ALL of you...this journey would prove far more challenging without you guys.

We just watched Blades of Glory, that was the funniest movie we have seen in awhile (usually we are not TV people)...as funny as it was, I almost cried at several parts...not sad parts (since there was none)  Now would be a terrible time to tackle Pearl Harbor... I could cry just thinking about it.

We have managed to laugh every hour and more...that is what keeps us going...and you!

Please believe me I understand, these drugs are definately a higher poweer, look how nutty i was acting at my (NOT to PROUD OG moments) HON I am on Methadone and have been for a long time. The bright side is that a peerson can De-tox,but the downside is its a very time consuming process, and going C/T off Methadone is the worse off all the opioid drugs, mainly as a result of the half-life,and i dont mean just (Half-Life) this drug was and is designed to provide  a long term analgesic/pain killing affect. When i detoxed i was at the most 30mgs and thats easy, say your on 100mgs you can literally cut your dose 50% as remember this drug builds inour blood/brain barrier and,a good analogy would be an anti-depressant.Anti-depressants take it seems forevev to work, reason being its not an exact science, also the gradual buildup in the blood. The same with methadone its slow to build and slow to decrease. One person i respect is Penelope, this woman is winning the fight on getting off methadone, but she has paid her dues. The only advice is there is no fast forward without the miserable sideaffexcts of wds.Just one last thing to consider,And I am no different than you.Why are we addicts always in such a rush. Best of luck john
