Soreness and Aleve

I posted a post Sunday about me delivering puppies.. Well let me tell you.. After sitting on the floor with our dog for hours and continually getting up and down I am SORE.  I feel like I've hit the gym hard; however, a few hot showers and a heating pad.. Accompanied by Aleve did the job.. Do you know I never thought once about popping a pill. I'm amazed at myself! I got a pedi a few months back and I wound up with an ingrown toenail.. Guys.. You would have thought I had broke my toe.. It was crazy.. Did it hurt that bad? NO! Did I pop loratab like candy for it.. Absolutely!! Sober life sure can change your perspective on things. Oh, I will always be an "addict" or recovering addict.. I know just one Tylenol 3 would send me into a pill popping idiot..

Wow isn't it wonderful not having to think about pills!!! I went riding on my horse Saturday and I feel like I worked out for 6 hours straight so I know what you are going threw! Such a different hurt though! Not complaining one bit! lol

Like this post! Right on! Heating pads and aspirin/Tylenol = good stuff. You're right, your perspective does change. The excuses that I made up to take pain pills were down right pathetic. So glad to be off of that roller coaster.

Very inspirational!!  Well done, and I totally agree with you.  Hot showers, Aleve and heating pad will do the trick!  Who knew, right?  lol
