Day 5 for me and doing ok!

My last percoset was Thursday afternoon.  Have been taking 8-10/day for the last 3 years for chronic back pain.  Stopped CT and doc gave me 2 rx to help through the withdrawl.  I can't really tell that they have helped, but I am doing ok.  Today I am very jittery so I got on the treadmill and exercised for about 30-45 min.  Hoping that will focus me for the rest of my day and help me to sleep better.  Am I over the worst, or will other symptoms come back?

I feel good that I was honest with my doctor - she gave me a referral to a substance abuse program within my medical insurance.  I am apprehensive about that.

Hey there!!! Congrats on day 5. You should be over the worst now :-) ditto on everything anewlifeforme posted. I went to treatment, inpatient for 12 weeks. It was the best experience of my life. No kidding. Anything you need I am here for you! Congrats again.

Hi and congrats on day 5!  That is GREAT that you are exercising, it gets things moving that much more faster.  I think by now you are over the worst of the physical withdrawals.   Although you will still have some bad days here and there, you should be through the worst of it and now is when you have to deal with the mental part of it.  You are so lucky to have medical insurance, so I'd go ahead and use it for counseling, therapy, whatever you have to do for your recovery.  Good luck to you and way to go!
