hey bud, i too am another person on this board whom Suboxone has worked wonders for.
but like IBkleen said - you'd be much better served doing it under a doctor's care... think of all the $$ you spent on dope. some of that can go toward a doctor, getting on a proper plan, and really hedging your bets for kickin for good this time..
good luck.
My sister and I just started on Suboxone on Wed. She was very sick yesterday. Throwing up and bad headache and today I was not feeling very well . We have a doctor that is prescribing these to us and we are still having a hard time finding the right dose. I really don't want to spoil your plans or discourage your getting clean. I just wanted you to know that, taking to little can make you sick and taking too much can make you sick. We had heard that it takes sometimes 3-4 days to get your dose's right. So just wanted to say as far as the Suboxone goes .....be very careful. My sister felt sicker yesterday than she did going cold turkey.
This is not to discourage anyone from going the Suboxone route, just be prepared for a few up and down days. Getting clean takes time and work. There is just no quick fix. Oh God how I wish there was. Keep reading and posting it really helps. Best wishes. Mary
Had a typo in the post prior to this one....our friend called us this morning and said that he CAN get us the suboxone....now maybe the other post makes sense...lol...oops!
Thanks! The withdrawal symptoms are what we are most afraid of...We have done "X" before and the day after that is the worst feeling ever! I am honestly afraid that coming off of the roxys will be similar in how that makes you feel. Now I dont know if you have done that but if you have then you would know what I'm talking about...Our friend called us this morning and said he cant get us Suboxone for ten bucks a pill, and honestly we pay that or usually higher for roxys and if they really do work like everyone has said, then that money would be well spent. There's just so many choices and ways of deciding how we're going to come off of them, we're trying our best to find the easiest and less symptomatic way for us so that we dont fall back into them...
for me it has also worked wonders. I feel like I have my life back. Find a MD ASAP & you will be on your way.

I have been on suboxone for three months now. Prior to being on it I was heavily addicted to heroin adn oxycontin, pretty anything I could ge tmy hands on. Suboxone for me has worked wonders. It curbed the withdrawals, gave me energy and motivation where as going cold turkey I feel like dying. and have no energy to move at all, but am crawling out of my skin. I am currently on the highest dose of suboxone,32 mgs. a day, meaning that any dose higher will have no effects. It has definitely helped me get my life back together. It wont get you HIGH but it will give you a very mild opiate feeling, just enough to keep you motivated and not to much to where you crave it like crazy. Some people amy have different opinions, but for me it has been wonderful. Find a doctor near you and get your life back.
Go to naabt. org and DO all the research on it. Do not take this lightly. It is a complete program and needs to be followed. Please hun, do the research and this website will also give you doctors in your area who can prescribe it.
You have to be prescribed by a dr. There are certain dr's allowed to prescribe it. You have to be at a certain point in withdrawl to take it and it does work.
