I'm confused. Are you posting because you feel you have an addiction problem and want to get clean?
Hope your MRI comes out ok, Johnny. Best of luck to you.
If and when the time comes and you decide to give the Suboxone a try, let me know. Happy to answer any questions you may have. Good luck and hope they can do something to get you out of pain.

ARE YOU FRIKEN KIDDING ME??!! You guys should read what he had to say about my post...unbelievable. i read what you said about needing to talk to someone who uses "narcotics in a "controlled" manner....controlled manner?? there is no such thing in my eyes...i just dont know how you can pass judge ment about other people that feel just as bad when i can see YOU have ISSUES as well...johnny havent you heard that if you have nothing good to say SAY NOTHING AT ALL! i would love to tell you what i think about your PATHETIC situation but i will bite my tongue...
I Can identify, ive seen people after they take their drinks sittin in the coffee shoppe,on the NOD (BIG-TIME) not as much anymore as like everything else A Drivers license is a Privelage, not a right. People are regularly repoted to the Ministry of Transportation and Communications if their urine -test keeps coming up with Cocaine, benodiazepanes, and if an individual cant stay within the guigelines, especially the iLLisit stuff the coke ,weed ,speed etc.The person better start getting use to the BUS ROUTE,as being on that methadone gives the gouverment the right to snoop. After the Surgery i may taper down and switch to the Suboxone,as its just been released in Nov.2007.Thank for your comment
We are about the same age and it was in '92 that my addiction really started with a car accident. I was big on the percs too, and Darvocets but I too also had to try oxy's, dilaudids, and morphine. Anyway thank you for telling your story, I can relate to a lot of it.
Its hard enough trying to go on with your life and build your credibility without having to fight for your right to do it however you have to. For you right now that means methadone, and controversial or not if it's working and you are working a program don't worry about what anyone else says or thinks.
I look forward to hearing how your MRI went. Good luck. How long for the results?
My thoughts and prayers are with you.
Lisa
Let us know when you get the results...sending good vibes your way....
I hope they can fix your hip. I can relate to the horrible pain. I have hip problems also and can't sleep at night because of the horrible burning in my hips. One good thing for you is Canada has free health insurance. I so wish we did, so they could relieve this pain. Keep us posted.
There's an AT watchdog site for methadone rights folks if your interested in keeping up with the political side of this. As a truck driver, you may want to check it out. A recent court case here in America found a Methadone Clinic Libel for damages due to an accident involving the death of a motorist leaving her clinic and "falling asleep" at the wheel. The ramifications are disturbing.
I'm not sure how it is in Canada, but here it's a daily fight for folks trying to keep there rights who are permanently disabled and take these meds regularly.
Good luck with the mri. :)
I'll cross my fingers for you on the MRI!
