Sleep... Oh, how I've missed you!

I am on my 4th day with no pills.  I woke up this morning after a full nights sleep (9 hours).  I did have some sweats but not bad at all. I took some Valerian Root and I am thinking that helped with the restless leg and helped me sleep.  Whatever it was I am grateful!  I feel like I have energy this morning and I haven't had any crying spells since yesterday morning.  My husband took me out to the movies and dinner last night and that helped me tremendously.  I needed to get out of this house and get my mind off of everything.  I am going to take advantage of this energy I have and enjoy it.  I hope this means that I am getting over the worst part.

It sounds like you turned the corner and most of the bad stuff is over. Congratulations! 9 hours of sleep is great...especially on day 4. Stay busy like you are and set up some aftercare. You know...church, therapy, ect. There are many types of programs out there. Just get involved with something. Recovery is more than just detoxing. Its a process of healing that takes time and a program. Good luck and God bless
