I the type of person, I don't want o panic with out..so yes I still have pills.. Some days I did 2 some 4.. I have 200 pills left in my bottle not to mention the ones I dump when I was mad.. Good bye

I did the same thing! I keep 5 Oxys in my pocket during my detox. I had quit so many times because I ran out but this time I wanted to quit for me. I kept them for a week then said goodbye and threw them out the window on my way home from work. I felt like I needed to do that to signify the end of my addiction. Crazy I know but so far so good.

OMG I am soooo proud of you!! Congrats that was one of the verrrry hardest steps..I made my drug dealer sooo mad at me I can't ever get them anymore and I had 2 norcos and one vic when I started detox and I never took them poof threw them out ..It was my life saver..YOU GO GIRL!! That took determination.

Fantastic! I hope though by "got rid of them" you mean flushed them! Dont underestimate the power of these things if you just threw them away.

Good for u, it takes guts to do that, give urself a lot of credit, seriously.  I never could.  I was wathcing drugs.inc on natgeo. There was a guy that killed 4 people while robbing a drug store in long island NYC. They were just there not cops or anything, not trying to stop him or anything. It just added to my opinion that these things are evil. and i dont want them in my life nemore.  My friend is addicted too, im trying to get her to stop.

I'm not temped.. I got rid of them.. I already told pain management good bye.. My health is more important & my babies.. I would have panic had I got rid of them before I detox... Thanks guys , You're  wonderful

i agree Ron......everyone has to do it their own way i guess but for me.....it's the only choice i had.....they were TOO tempting for me.....i didn't have the discipline to taper or the time/pills.....best thing i ever did to stay clean...

Agreed! the way I read your post was that you still have them and your wanting to flush them and thats the best thing you can do for yourself!! DS is right and they WILL call your name!

my suggestion is to also cancel any remaining refills if you have any....i flushed what i had at my house, then canceled my last refill of 120 Norco....was really hard to do but you have to so they don't tempt you.....pharmacist ask me if i wanted to put them on hold...i said NO....cancel them because i'm stopping them....now they can't be refilled ever. good luck!  you can do it!!

If you get rid of them, you will feel like you are taking control of your life instead of them calling out to you to just take one.  I know it's scary, but it really is a liberating feeling knowing you can't go back!
