NA is saving my life!

I have 8 weeks clean today!  I could not have done it without the NA program. The people in those rooms are so open, honest and loving. I am truly blessed and thankful that I was led there. I have gotten over the embarrassment and humiliation of my last days before I became clean. I guess the main reason I am posting this is because I want other addicts or recovering addicts to know that it really does work!!  I used to think of alcohol as different but I know now it can't be a part of my life ever. This was my first Thanksgiving completely sober in over 30 years and it felt great!!!

Thank you for this post.  I just went to my first meeting tonight and I was so afraid to do that.  It was a fantastic experience and I wish I could have done it sooner

Congratulations on your 8 weeks clean! That is huge and I am so proud of you!! I'm glad to hear that you are doing so well, and that you are working the program. Sounds like everything is really clicking this time around for you. Don't be embarrassed by your trials and low points before quitting this time. It took that to get you where you are today. Most of us have to hit that lowest of low point to really 'get it' and really be ready to quit. Be proud of how far you have come and of how seriously you are taking your recovery this time around. Keep up all of your hard work. All good things your way my friend. Here's to a happy and sober holiday season for all of us!
