Ribs. Since you haven't been on the Tramadol that long , it shouldn't be that bad. The first time I experimented with Tramadol I went on about a 12 day run, then I ran out and noticed that I felt like crap that evening when I got home. Threw up, and felt very down and tired so I went to bed, and the fun started!! RLS, baby , I couldn't keep still for more than 5 seconds, it was so bad that I had to go get on the couch so my wife could actually sleep. This only lasted 1 night though. I called in sick the next day an watched Brett Favre's first 'retirement' press conference, and was in tears. Man the Tramadol is super-wicked poop that should be banned altogether. The true opiates are much, much safer. I'm not saying you SHOULD go back to Oxy's, but get OFF the Tramadol. In my opinion the Oxy is BY FAR the lesser of two evils!!
I don't think I have the discipline for the long term taper, so I am going to taper this week and go cold turkey on saturday. It may not be fun but I am ready!
Maybe do 2 tramadols and 2 oxys for a week and then quit cold turkey?
What where you thinking? Like maybe take the Oxy's for a week and start over with those withdrawals?
Randy, good thing you talked to your Doctor and are doing a supervised taper off the Tramadevils. Personally, if the anxiety is too much for you ( and I see you have ample reason for it) I think you're better off with your original drug. I am on hour 72 A.O. (after opiates) and have to say while not pleasant, the W/D's have been a cakewalk coming off Oxycodone (12-16 10mg Percs a day at the end) compared to when I came off the Tramadevils back in 2009 after a year of using 24 a day. You haven't been using the Tramadevils too long , so PLEASE follow through with your taper. I think Tramadol is the worlds most evil drug, and the only way I'd ever take one again is if I was dead and someone shoved one down my throat. Stay strong my friend. You can do this.
Tanks minn and Lesa. I plan on sticking to the taper. Nothing is more important.
Hi Randy I'm also glad you spoke with your Dr. Staying with a taper is difficult to stay true to yourself ok if you feel like using more post here instead.. Proud of you. Just keep your quit the number 1 priority ok. warmly lesa
Hi ribs, glad you talked to the doctor and are doing a supervised taper. I definitely understand about anxiety and I know it must be a relief to know you will have help.
I hope you get some rest and relaxation,
Hugs,
Minn
