just took my last pill

so, i have been trying to get off of pain pills (lortab) for a few weeks now and was doing amazing until i found out i have an ovarian cyst.  i went from taking 5 of the 5/500 lortab back to like 10ish a day.  so, i decided that i just need to tuff it out and stop C/T.  i took my last 5 of the 5/500 lortab (i just took my last pill)  i went and got everything to do the thomas recipe tom and everything to "try" and make this process less painful.  i am so nervous.  i just want to be done with all of this.  i don't want to be controlled anymore by "what will i do if i run out; how can i scam more"  well, i just felt like i needed to tell someone this news in my road to recovery.  wish me luck!!

thank you jules.  i will get son valerian root and give it a shot tom night.  that's what my mom always tells me especially lately.  she is in another state so, we talk on the phone a lot and she has been a big help with all of this.  she tells me that all the time (not to think to much in the future, just worry about right now and getting through this and what's in this second and minute)  thanks again for the support... i know i can get through this with all of the help i am getting!!

Hi Momma,

I have been off vics for over 4 months now and sometimes when I am standing in the kitchen and all 3 kids are on my nerves (just being kids) I find myself still saying minute by minute and then I go to second by second, so I still find it helpful to take things one second at a time, it is too easy to want to get a break from the real world!

Hang in there and you can get some valerian root at the GNC health food store that will help you rest at night.

I was thinking about going to the er and telling them the truth but then again i dont know what that would do

hey! i'm in a similar situation as you although i do not have to go to work, i am a stay at home mom and will be home alone with my son tomorrow for my 1st day.  but, you have to know that you can do this.  it will be hard but, anything is possible!  i will look up the thomas recipe and copy and paste it on here for you.  it's basically vitimans to help with the process we will be going through.  if you need anything i am here, we can go through it and get through it together.

You brought up a good point in needing to get through the hour. We always hear take it a day at a time but during detox, sometimes we need to take it 1one hour at a time:o)) Keep posting.

Congratulations on your decision to end this madness. It is normal to feel a little nervous about detox. Just remember that the sickness will end in less than a week and just stay focused on the prize at the end. You can make it. Post everyday and connect with as many people to help you through as you can. You can do this and it is so worth it. Corey

I'm glad to hear that you are doing this. You will feel so much better when this is over. You will control your life instead of the pills controlling you. That is such a great feeling. Good luck!!!

I wish you well :) You do not need luck just determination and a fighting spirit.. Congratulations on deciding to take your life back !! Sorry to read of your ovarian cyst. it is good you are getting clean as we process things differently and the pills leave our health much to be desired.. we make better decisions clean.. remember Hot Baths/showers walking even a lil in the beginning.. and a attitude that you will win this war on addiction You are getting your life back and will no longer need to scam and lie.. Freedom comes in many forms.. lesa
